Chapter 15: Beach

The view is spectacular!
Well the beach is always spectacular, it's where you can differentiate between the blue color of the sky and the water and see the reflection of the sun and the soft whisper of the winds can also be felt into your bones... The waves were too strong today thus splashing water vigorously in the sand.

I got out of the car not waiting for Giorgio to tell me. I know I'm not behaving like a lady but he doesn't usually treat me like a lady. Nowadays I'm his servant!

There were not too many people on the beach, just a couple of families with the children having fun.

I heard Giorgio slamming the car door shut and was walking towards me.

"Come with me".

I followed him quietly since he still did not give me the permission to talk. It felt just like the night of his engagement when we were walking back and he had kissed me.

He kept on walking at a fast pace and did not even care to see if I was able to follow him. Jerk! I wanted to shout to him that it is too difficult to walk by the sand when you are wearing sandals but I kept my mouth shut. For him it was easy because he was wearing shoes. I decided to stop and removed my slippers and took it into my hands. Maybe Giorgio felt that I stopped walking, that's why he turned to look at me.

"Move fast! I don't have the whole day!"

Man!! He is the one who wants to talk but privately. He brought me to the beach but he was still walking and not talking. How much more privacy does he need?

I just followed him quietly and I did not notice that he stopped and I slammed into his back!

"Damn it!! What the hell Bella, watch your steps!

I could not face him right now. I know he is fuming.

"You know that it's so nice to not hear a word from you, usually you talk so much nonsense and I know that right now you would have answered me back."

"You are such a jerk!!! If it was not for your stupid blackmail I would have talked much before not now!!"

Oops I talked!! Way to go Bella...

He did not kiss me as I was expecting to be kissed, instead he sat on a nearby rock and was watching the waves.

I sat next to him and also watched the view. Suddenly he took my right hand in his and placed it near his heart. To say that I was shocked was reasonable right?

"Gio what is." he cut me off by placing one finger on my mouth.

"Bella please shut up, my head is hurting too much and the sun is not helping."

" Okay. But..."

Well he said to be quiet again. Is this what he meant when he said that we have to talk? Maybe he should have bought a robot who will only listen and shake its head with yes or no.

After like 10 minutes of silence with him still enlacing my hands and now resting his head on my shoulders he spoke.

"Bella, I have to say something to you and please listen to me very carefully."

He was now staring at me and caressing both of my cheeks. Anybody passing by will say we are a couple in love.

"I know the truth of what happened to you, sorry for really being a jerk to you. The other day when Alex came home to tell me about you, I already knew that something was fishy... I then saw that on the driveway my sisters were giving him money and thanking him. I confronted them but they still tried to cover the truth with more lies.

Yesterday I saw Alex near my office. I invited him for lunch and talked. He confessed everything since I started to ask him why my sisters paid him, he is such a coward to even speak to me frankly. It's the money that makes him talk, then he said how in the past Julia asked him to do the dirty job and paid him lots of money. I left the place in a fit of rage! I cannot face you Bella, I could not face myself!! How I wish I could take back the words I said to you..."

I could see the sadness and mixture of anger in his eyes, he was still caressing my cheeks while talking and now we were closer than before. Now I know why he did not come back home last night... He was afraid of his feelings.

"It's okay Giorgio, even if I was in your place I would have believed the pictures. But now nothing can be changed. You are going to be married soon."

By the word marry, Gio turned his face now staring at the sky.

"Bella, when you said that I'm cheating with a whore, that's not true. I called her yes to distract my mind from you. But it did not work, the whole night I kept on driving the car to I don't know where and she fell asleep. Then in the morning she asked me to leave her near the park. I was just dropping her when she leaned and kissed me and that's when you entered the picture."

"Giorgio, why are you explaining yourself to me? I'm not your fiancé, you should tell Bianca... Why me?"

"Bella, I need to clarify things to you... I love you. A lot. I think I have since we were kids, and I know you love me too. Right?"

I moved my head in saying yes because I could not talk... My throat was filled with so much emotion. Wow so he really does love me!

"Bella, the thing is that I'm human and I made a mistake in my life which I cannot turn back now. Even if I'm saying I love you, I have to say that we can't be together."
"Bianca... She..." someone was clearing their throat just behind us.
When we turned I saw the twins staring at us angrily.
"Brother what are you doing here at the beach with this b**ch!?"

Well it rhymes... Shit!
