Chapter 9: Heart Beats

After her day with Italy, Romany couldn't wait till her visits with every country would be over and she would finally find a way to finish off her plan. For the rest of the meeting she had some difficulty deciding which of the last two countries would she visit.

Thinking long and hard she weighed out the pros and cons of both. With much research on their histories and the things they were good at she finally decided which one to visit. With much confidence, she stood in front of all the countries. 

"I have had a marvelous time visiting all of you, but my choice for this time is Germany" she said. The mentioned country stood up, and Romany's heart just about leapt out of her chest. He was a tall and intimidating country but that wasn't why her heart was racing so quickly.

A stern face held two bright blue eyes the color of the sky, and slicked back golden hair. 'He looks so much like Holy Rome' was her thought at the moment. She was so shocked she almost didn't notice when Germany motioned for her to follow him.

Following him silently they stayed silent all the way to his home, looking up to thank him for opening the door for her. Their eyes met for a moment but long enough that both felt a fluttering feeling and a light blush was present on their faces. 

"Your room is two door down and lunch will be ready soon" he said slightly nervous as he was around all women. "Thank you, I'm just going to take a quick shower and I'll be down" was her reply slipping into the room that had been deemed hers.

Leaning against the door she plopped herself on the ground and gave a large sigh. "What am I going to do now?" she asked herself before going into the shower.
