Chapter 15: The Beginning and Awakening

It had been weeks since both Romany and Germany confessed their feelings for one another but there wasn't exactly anything they could do about it because well France was Romany's big brother. Like all big brothers he absolutely refused to believe that his little sister had fallen in love with his enemy.

So of course at all costs France prohibited Romany from any contact whatsoever with Germany so it became even more difficult for the two to talk about what had happened weeks before. Luckily as chance would have it Germany's boss wanted to form an alliance with Romany. 

Romany like all girls either had a keen interest with cooking, baking, or just eating food. She had an interest in the art of baking and as Germany's boss tried his best to persuade Romany's the said mentioned country decided to bake to try and ease the tension that was building up. 

"Let's see I have all the ingredients to make a cake, I just need to add some kind of flavor" she was so busy looking for something special to add she did not realize Germany had entered the kitchen to find out what all the ruckus was about. Finding Romany looking for something special it was pretty convient he had brought with him some chocolate. 

"Excuse me. I saw that you were looking for something else to add to your cake and it so happens that I have chocolate" he said mildly embarrassed. (Gosh that sentence sucks, I'm making him sound so weird.) She smiled lightly at his offer and nodded. Not knowing what else to do Germany helped her finish making the cake in a comfortable silence.

As they waited for the cake to bake they just watched the oven as they leaned againt the counter of the kitchen. Out of the corner of her eye Romany could tell Germany was struggling to talk with her and to avoid any unwanted uncomfortableness she decided to help him out. 

"You don't have to say anything Germany. As much as it pains me to let go of the past, I want to feel happy again and to love" he nodded in understanding, she didn't feel the same as he did for her. "But that doesn't mean I'm not in love" she said a smile making its way on her face, he gave the barest trace of a smile.

"I'm not good with these things at all but would you be my Freundin" he said a light blush dusting his cheeks. She gave him a smile, a genuine smile she held his hand and he took it a little further intertwining their hands. With that they began a relationship that would forever change history.

Sadly the countries of Germany and Romany never did form an alliance but the personifications still dated happily. Sure they never did kiss or show much public affection but they were content that way, they didn't need the world to see their love for them to know the other cared. 

But what neither Romany or Germany knew was that with Romany breaking her promise they had caused something to awaken. Something long forgotten by the world but remembered by others. But I'm afraid that's a story for next time, for now we'll let them be happy because with every joy there comes a price.

Hi Reader-chan! 

I am finally done with book one of the series the next book will be up soon and it's called Je T'aime Tojour and I'll be even more descriptive with it and it will have longer chapters. Why you may ask, well its because I have the whole thing planned out right to the last detail. This book was more like the introduction to the main events that will happen. 

I will be writing more books though keep that in mind, I'll probably write like three more books after book two. I have that many ideas and had that much thought into this. Oh and dear readers this question is vitally important for the making of book three. What other three countries would you ship Romany with? Once again that question is super important.  

An absolute huge thanks to MapleMochi she was a great support and follower of this book. I did my best to write more and get better at my writing because I knew about that one person who absolutely cheered me on every step of the way. Thank you so much.
