Suprise!

**MIAS POV**

I open my eyes, to see that I'm back in the orphanage. Then I remembered that I had to come back here because the others had heaps of meetings and business stuff today. I look around my old bedroom. It's all so empty, just like it was when I first came here. I think about who would be moving in here next. Would it be a girl, or a boy? Old, or young?
My thoughts are interrupted by Emma calling us down for breakfast.
Crap, I'm not even ready.
I quickly put some clothes on, and I don't worry about makeup, I can do it later.

**JOES POV**

Finally, I'm done with meetings for today. As I hop in the car, I remember that we will see Mia again tonight! I feel a rush of excitement, as I actually have something to look forward to, instead of boring nights of editing and stuff.

I look at the time. 5:02. I decide to go half an hour early. I just need to see Mia.

I am greeted by Mia with a warm hug. After I hug her back, I am called in for a meeting with Emma.
E: Hello, Joe! I just called you in here for a quick talk about Mia and the adoption and stuff.
J: Ok, that's fine!
E: Cool. So, how has she been doing while she is staying with you? Has she had any more panic attacks?
J: She's actually really good, and she rarely has a panic attack, and if she does, it doesn't last long. I feel like the counseling and therapy has really made her anxiety better.
E: That's great to hear. So, I was wandering, do you think she's ready to go home with you for good?
J: Well, she seems like she would cope fine, and I'm definitely ready for her to come home. But I think it's best to ask her before we finalize it.
E: Yes, well I have some good news about that.
J: Really? What is it?
E: Last night I was talking to her about it, and she said she can't wait any longer to move in with you!
J: Oh my god! FINALLY! Sorry, when we're we thinking about moving her in?
E: Maybe soon? Like, tomorrow soon?
J: Awesome! Does Mia know?
E: No, I haven't told her, because I think it's best you tell her.
J: Well, I think it would be best if I told her with Caspar, as he's in the too.
E: Yeah, that's true. When's he available?
J: He should be tomorrow, I'll tell him when I get home.
E: Okay, well I think you should get Mia back to Zoe's, she's been dying to see you again.
J: Okay. Thank you for everything, Emma.
E: It's my pleasure. Have a good night!
J: You too!

**MIAS POV**

I creep to the door to Emma's office, and peek in the glass door. I see Joe and Emma talking. Probably about me. Soon, Joe gets up to leave. I quickly jump back, my side against the wall beside the door. When the door opens, and Joe comes out, I jump out st him.
"BOO!" I yell.
"Oh my god Mia, you scared me!" Joe said, holding his chest.
"Haha!" I laugh at him.
He jokingly shakes his head at me as we walk to his car, and head off to Zoe's.
Since no one can be bothered to cook, we just order pizza to be delivered, as we don't want to drive 20 minutes to pick it up.

When it finally arrives, Zoe brings the warm boxes to the table, where everyone is hungrily sat. As soon as the boxes are placed, everyone savagely takes pieces off like starving wild animals.

After we quickly devour the dinner, we all head to have showers, and go shout our night routines.

I turn my lamp on, then turn off the main light and as I'm tucking myself in, I hear a movie start in the living room. I look at the time. 8:56. It's not too late, so I decide to go down and join them.

Crash!

I am woken by a sudden loud noise. I look around to see that I'm not in the spare bedroom, but on the couch. We must've fallen asleep during the movie, because everyone else is sat up on the couch. They were probably woken by the loud noise too.
Z: Did anyone else hear that?
A: Yeah, it scared the crap out of me
J&M: Same

We head to the front door, where the sound was coming from. We are surprised to see Caspar, taking his shoes off.
C: Oh, did that wake you? I accidentally slammed the door, God, its windy today!
A: Oh, it was you! God, it scared me!
C: Oh, sorry. Haha!
Z: Cmon, let's have breakfast! It's like 10 am!
A: Oh yeah! Should we just go to McDonalds or something?
We all agree on McDonalds, so we give Alfie our orders, and he drives there to get the yummy food.

After getting ready, I am greeted downstairs by Alfie, Zoe, Joe and Caspar pulling party poppers! After I get over the fright, I properly look around. They had set up balloons and streamers and bunting that read 'Congrats!' Were they congratulating me on something? I couldn't think of what though.
"Surprise!" They all say in unison.
M: Oh my god, this is amazing! But what the hell is it for?!
J: Well, we've got some good news!
C: Very good!
M: Really? What is it!?
J: Well...
C: You're officially adopted!
J: And we're going back to London tomorrow! Well, if you're ready, of course.

I am shocked. I can't believe it, they're finally adopting me! I just feel so happy inside, it was the happiest I'd felt in a really long time. It was overwhelming in a way - a good way though. I didn't know how to respond, so I just cried, but they were happy tears. I feel warm arms surround me. I look up, to see Joe and Caspar hugging me.

J: Are you okay? Do you not feel ready?
M: These are happy tears, don't worry. I've just never felt this way before. I've never felt this, well, happy. I'm happy to finally have a loving family.
C: Were excited too. We love you so much, Mia.
M: I love you both, well, all of you, so much.

We all huddle into a group hug. It was the only hug Id ever had that felt like they meant it, and that they really did love and care about me.
