"You will see them soon"...

March, 2009 (When Mia is 7)
"Mum! Look at the hills!" Mia said in excitement.
"Yeah, they're so amazing, aren't they!" Mum replied.

Beeeeeeeeeeep! Screeeeeeeeech! Crash!

"Mum? Dad?"

"Mia! We're here"
Mia saw shattered glass everywhere. Her Dad was screaming in pain as blood gushed out of him. She watched her speechless Mum, as she remained unresponsive and got more and more pail and ghostlike. She heard sirens, and a series of "Oh my god!" "What happened?" "Is anyone in there?"

She was frightened by the sound of someone plowing at the door. When it finally gave way, the person reached in, and carried Mia out, along with her parents. They were rushed into an ambulance, which took them to hospital.

Mia laid there for days, with drips and needles in her arms.
"Where's mummy and daddy?" Mia said weakly.
"They are in the other room. But all of you are too weak to visit each other. You will see mummy and daddy soon."

3 days later...............

"I wanna see mummy!" Mia wailed.
"Look, Mia. Mummy and daddy got very badly hurt in the accident. Now they are..... in heaven with the angels" the nurse said.
"Nooo! I want to see mummy and daddy NOW!!"
"I'm sorry, Mia. But you will never see your mummy and daddy. They're gone forever", the nurse said, calmly.

When Mia was finally released from hospital, she was taken in a car by a lady called Emma. After about 20 minutes, they pulled up in front of "Central Brighton Orphanage". Mia was clueless as she was taken into an office.
"Ok, Mia. This is where you will live until we find you some new parents".
By now, Mia was calm, mainly because she was so young it didn't really affect her.
"When will I get new parents?" Mia asked Emma.
"When we find someone who wants you", Emma replied.

Then, Emma took Mia to her room, and showed her her new clothes and things. Then she was introduced to some of the kids there. Soon enough, she was happily playing as if she had been there for years.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I will be writing a fair bit today, just to get the story underway. I will write one more chapter today and post daily from there 🙂
