*general narration*
Shepard had just finished cleaning up Grunt's mess in the main hall, so he decided to explore a little. Shepard made his way up a set of stairs, and onto the balcony that overlooked the entire main all. He then noticed that there was furniture in front of the door to the outside balcony. Shepard examined the furniture closely, wondering why it was here.
???: Like it?
Shepard turns around and saw Vivian approaching from where Shepard entered. Vivian was a less then welcomed sight. Liara told him what she said about similarity s between mages and biotics.
Shepard: it's fancy.
Vivian: Well, when you live in a mansion, everything tends to me.
She walks past Shepard, and onto the balcony, looking over the courtyard. Shepard takes in the view next to Vivian. Shepard looks to his left, and sees a man carrying a women, bloodied and hurt, rushing to the entrance. Two guards escort them to a tent pitched next to a set of stairs to the tavern.
Vivian: This place is more than the Inquisitions strong hold, it's a refuge for those who have suffered.
Shepard: I hear that...
*Flashback*
On the refugee level of the citadel, a blond girl in a ponytail, looking to be about 17 years old, is getting food from a vending machine. As soon as she gets it, a Turian citadel guard gestures for her to walk over to him. She quickly finishes her snack, and stand at the front desk in front of the Turian with her arms behind her back.
Citadel Guard: what are you doing here?
Refugee teen: I'm waiting
Citadel Guard: Waiting? Waiting for who?
Refugee teen: for my parents. They put me on the rescue transport and said for me to wait for them here. They'll come find me as soon as they can.
Citadel guard: Well... I guess this is a safe place enough. Look, if anyone bothers you, Let me know. I'll take care of them, ok?
Refugee Teen: sure thing, sir. Thanks.
Unfortunately, no one really knows where that girl's parents are.
*End flashback*
Vivian: did you hear me, darling?
Shepard: hm?
He shakes his head, getting out of the memory.
Vivian: I said, does your two brutish friends know that there are heads similar to theirs mounted in the trophy wall of the Winter Palace?
Shepard didn't have the slighted clue how Vivian knew about that topic. He had a confused look on his face a Vivian finished her sentence.
Vivian: I've bean to the Winter Palace on more than one occasion, dear. And I have seen this trophy room. So, back to my question, does your two brutish friends, or any other of your companions know?
Shepard: First off, they're not brutish... all the time. Second, only one other person from my team know. Third, why would I tell Wrex? Krogen tend to hold grudges.
Vivian: because it will be a lot worse coming from a stranger then from a friend.
Shepard raised an eyebrow, wanting more information on what Vivian is saying.
Vivian: This "Wrex" seems to take kindly of you. It almost seems as If you would take several arrow.
Shepard: *mermerd* he'd take more than that.
Vivian: If you do not tell him yourself, the consequences will be much greater.
Shepard gave what Vivian said much thought. He took in a deep breath, and exhaled.
Shepard: do you know where is now?
Vivian: I believe he is in the Tavern with the other Krogen and Iron Bull.
*Scene Change*
Grunt, Wrex, and Bull were in the tavern chatting about Krogen and Quinary similarity, while Liara was at the third level watching from above, making sure they don't get into trouble. Grunt was eating noodles while still contributing to the conversation
Bull: So Grunt, you were "tank bred?"
Grunt slurps the last of his noodles into his mouth, and swallows
Grunt: I AM tank bred. "The perfect Kroger" Is what Okear called me.
Wrex: true to his word, too. During your rite of passage, you killed a Thresher Maw, which only took over 100 years for another Krogen to do.
Grunt: Don't forget that bastard who wanted my head for a trophy
Wrex: he was a pain the ass anyway, I don't miss him one bit.
Bull: rrriiiiiiiiiight. And these... "Thresher Maws" you say the look like "giant mutated worms that spit at you?"
Wrex: don't forget they move primarily under sand.
Grunt: or that some breath fire.
Wrex suddenly gets the feeling of someone watching him. He turns around to see an Inquisition guard staring at him from another table. As soon as Wrex notices, the guard turns his head back to the table, and starts weighting on a piece of paper.
Annoyed, Wrex gets up and walks over the guard. A few people stop what they're doing, and take notice. The guard sweats in fear as Wrex stands right behind the sitting guard.
Wrex: if you've got something to say, say it! Don't hide it like a pijack waiting for someone to open the door so they can take a piss.
The guard at first tries to figure out what a Pijack is. But eventually, he turns his head to talk to the hulking alien.
Guard: I apologize. It's just... you look familiar.
Now Wrex is confused, he had never seen this person before.
Wrex: in what way?
Guard: Well, the Inquisition was sent to the Winter palace for a mission a month or two ago.
