"I must look pathetic right now... A hero, who is supposed to save Hyrule, is crying his eyes out..."

I shook my head, "Crying is a part of life. Without sadness, there wouldn't be happiness, so what's the deal?"

These were the wisest words Link had ever heard. He 'took them and locked them away', so he could 'pull them out to look at them' anytime he wants.

"You are my hero, (Y/N)."

Your POV

After a lot of running, screaming, crying and laughing, Link and I finally made it to Kakariko village. This was our newest goal, since King Rhoam told us to meet someone very important here. We even finished 7 other shrines on our way.

Man, this paraglider saved our butts several times from enemies, especially from Guardians and Stone Talus monsters.

I examined the style of Kakariko; everything was in an old traditional style. It gave me such a nostalic feeling, even though I had never been here before, I guess.
The growing trees were such a beautiful sight and everything matches very well. This was very pleasant for my eyes.

My thoughts got interrupted as I bumped into someone. I just had long, white hair in my face, so I suppose it's either a girl or an old man or woman with strangely long, straight hair.
They turned around to face me and bowed clumsily.
This person was about the same height as me, had beautiful brown-redish eyes and the Sheikah Eye on their forehead, along with her T-Zone.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!!!"

Clumsy, the person - which was obviously a girl - bowed in front of me. Meanwhile, Link was looking (or let's say he is actually staring) at her.

"I-I'm Paya...! I'm still so sorry for bumping into you! B-but it's nice to meet you two..."

I smiled and shook my head,
"No, it was my fault. I'm sorry about that. It's just... the beauty of this village fascinates me, I couldn't help but examine everything!
I'm (Y/N) by the way, it's nice to meet you, too!"

Link tilted his head to the left and put his index finger on his chin,

"Paya, huh? This name is unique! Where does it come from?"

Paya blushed instantly and grew shy again,

"U-uhm... Y-you really want to know..? Well, I got this papaya shaped birthmark and that's why Impa gave me the name 'Paya'..."

"Woah, that's so creative! I think your name is very pretty, Paya!"

While I made her some compliments, even though I just met her, Link didn't seem to understand at all.

"A birthmark? Where is it?"

She stopped laughing with me and turned her bright red face towards my friend.
You could clearly see her anxiety and nervousness in her eyes. I felt that this question is making her veeery uncomfortable, so I elbowed Link in the sides,

"Can't you see that this is a quite rude question? Imagine I would ask you how long your manly sword would be, idiot!"

Okay, I guess I made everything worse.

Now neither of us was saying a word out of embarassment.

It was my turn to interrupt the awkward silence between us,

"...How about we forget this and continue our duty?"

"Good idea"
