A/N: I changed the cover, like I've done with two of my other stories. I'm working on a new cover for Kireina.
Sorry for OOC Itachi and possibly Sakura, depending on how you see her.
Itachi's P.O.V.(Didn't expect that, now did you?)
Shisui and I were walking back to the house, considering we didn't have anything else to do with our day off. I couldn't help but let my mind drift to Sasuke and Rin. Yesterday, Rin debriefed Shisui and I on what happened during the Wave Mission during the other timeline, and I was worried. I know she told us everyone came out alive and well, but I also knew her. She'd sacrifice herself before she'd let anyone get hurt. I guess we were both too selfless like that. Shisui must have noticed I was troubled, because he spoke up.
"They'll be fine, Itachi. You heard Rin yesterday, nobody is going to die, and they'll all come back. They'll be a bit more grown up when they come back, well, aside from Rin, she practically is a grown up," he said, and I chuckled, but quickly frowned.
"I know, but it's not that I'm worried about. Rin would gladly sacrifice herself before she let anyone get hurt. She'll do her best to prevent any of their pain, and if they get hurt, she'll blame herself, even if it happened in the other timeline." Shisui nodded seriously, then smiled.
"Well, there's no point in worrying. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Now, I think I see a dango sho-" Shisui was cut off by me shaking him, with a crazed look in my eyes.
"Where?" I asked frantically, and Shisui sweatdropped at my behavior. I don't care though. Dango is near.
"Just down the street," he said, and I started dragging him.
"First we get dango. Then I'll find you a girlfriend," I said, and he sighed knowing I was completely serious.
"Alright, but she better not be one of those fangirls," he said, and I chuckled.
"Thanks, Shisui."

Rin's P.O.V.
We had been walking for a little bit, and I was a bit on edge. The puddle should be coming up soon, therefor the Demon Brothers. I was at the back of the group with Kakashi, while Naruto and Sasuke bickered up front, and Sakura, being herself, asked too many questions to Tazuna. I thought I was hiding my unease fairly well, until Kakashi put a hand on my shoulder, which made me jump a bit, but Kakashi was luckily the only to notice. He paused, and I turned to look at him.
"Don't worry Rin, I'll keep you safe," he said, and I smiled. He smiled in return, and ruffled my hair a bit.
"Thank you, Kakashi," I said, and he sighed as we continued walking.
"Aren't you going to respect me with some honorific, -sensei at least?" he asked, and I chuckled while shaking my head.
"You're lucky I'm not calling you Bakashi," I responded, and he shook his head. I spotted the puddle up ahead, and started talking to Kurama.
Kurama?
What is it Kit? He asked.
Can I borrow some of your chakra? Not the good, helpful kind, but the malevolent kind, I said to him.
Sure, but why?
You see that puddle up ahead? There are enemy ninja in it. I need to leak some of your malevolent chakra in there to injure them, but not so much that it attracts attention.
