Her Wolf

Ch. 1 - The Encounter

Is the wolves mindspeak.  Or the pack link. How they talk to eachother in wolf form and such. So I believe thats all you need to know for now so here we go.

Laurens P.O.V

I was running through the woods by myself in wolf form. I was deep inside the forest at this point when a strange smell caught my attention. I turned my head to the direction of the smell and inhaled. It was human.

'What's a human doing this far in the forest?' I thought

I started to follow the scent until I reached a clearing. I was still hidden in the trees, out of sight. In the scented of the clearing was a girl. A girl? I could hear her soft cries. They struck at my heart like lightning. I slowly crept out of the trees towards the girl. A twig snapped underneath my paw and the girl spun around and locked eyes with my glowing green ones.

Her breath hitched and she cowered away. I lowered my head and took slow steps toward her. Amd although she was scared she didn't move. Once I reached her I stopped. She closed her eyes as if waiting for me to attack. I dropped to my belly and nudged my snout to her cheek, managing to wipe the tear streak from that side. Then I placed my head in her lap. She opened her eyes in shock and looked down at me.

She tentatively reached her hand out to my head and rubbed behind my ears. I let out a soft purr like sigh and she smiled down at me. The longer we sat there with her petting me, the more comfortable she became.

Suddenly she stopped petting me and her eyes glistened with tears.
I was quick to lick her face and she giggled. She then turned and looked at me.

"I'm lost. I was walking, just trying to explore but I got lost. I don't know the way back to Pinehills."

I instantly perked up. I stood up and she stood up with me. With me standing at my full height and her standing at hers I was still a good foot or so taller than her.

I gently grabbed her hand in my jaws amd started tugging her with me. She put up protest at first but soon followed. We walked for several hours. She continued to talk on and on about herself.  She was a senior fixing to start her final year of school with her friends Dinah and Ally. She was turning 18 in March.  Honestly she was adorable and the more time I spent with her the more I wanted to be around her.

We reached the edge of the woods and I stopped and looked at her. She looked up at me and smiled.

"You understood me?" She asked softly

I nodded my head up and down. She gasped lightly. She walked up to me amd placed her hands on the sides of my face. She seemed to be observing me.

"What are you?" She wondered aloud

I swiftly licked my tongue out and swiped her nose. She giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck, hugging me. I purred softly as my head lowered to hug her back. She soon let go and backed up.

"I have to go. I can find my way from here." She said as she started walking backwards after hugging my head one last time. Just as I was about to turn around and go back into the woods she called out to me.

"Will I see you again?" She asked

I nodded my head and she smiled brightly.

"I don't know your name or if you even have one, but mines Camila." She said softly before turning and walking away. I stood there and watched as she disappeared in the small town. I smiled to myself.
