"I saw enough to know that I don't like him." Robert spoke aggressively. So protective.

"But that's not the point. Are you ok?" He asked lifting my chin up to see the mark. Even that small gesture managed to make me blush. His face was so close to mine. I grinned. Robert noticed me smiling and leaned in closer.

"I'll take that as a yes." He whispered and kissed my cheek. The fact that Robert cares makes me happy. He knows so little about me and the way I react to thing, but he cares. That's all I could ask for.

I already had my things so we started walking to the back lot. It's a lot warmer than I planned it to be outside so when I felt the heat in had to take my jacket off. That left me in shirt mesh shorts and a loose racer back tank top. Everybody else was gone - coaches, teammates, the audience. My friends probably thought that one group or the other was going to be taking me home.

"How about we go out to eat?" Robert suggested as we waited for the A/C to cool the car down.

"Um... Sure. Can we clean my cut first? I have a bad feeling it looks nasty."

"Oh it does. Just like the rest of your face." He joked. I punched his arm and called him an ass. Then I realized something.

Is this a date?

It is only us two. He might not want it to be a date though. Only one way to find out.

"Hey, Rob? Is this like a date?" He looked at me out of the corner of his eye with a smirk. I swear every time he looks at me I get butterflies. Robert adjusted himself so his left hand was steering and his right was on the console between us.

"Babe, don't be silly. This is a date." His voice was playful and kind of serious. Again I smiled, but was still confused. Are we going out now or are we just 'going out' like its a one time thing? I don't want to ask though I will just figure it out on my own.

Minutes later his car pulled into the parking lot of Burgerfi.

I grabbed his free hand and screamed, " Robert! I love this place!" He jumped in his seat and swerved a bit. He also glared at me and let out a sigh when we parked.

As he pulled a anti bacterial wipe out of his glove box he looked at me and said, "I know more about you than you think." He added a wink as if he was reading my mind. My smile only grew wider as we walked inside the burger joint. Robert laced his fingers with mine and stepped closer to me.

"Stop smiling like that. You are scaring me," he whispered. I giggled and toned it down.

"Can I get a-"

"We will have," Robert started, cutting me off. "Six Burgerfi cheeseburgers with bacon, Two fountain drinks, and two large fries." The young man behind the counter didn't look too happy to see Robert cutting me off. Nonetheless he repeated us our total and Robert paid. I didn't argue about paying because I knew in the end he would pay.

I picked out a booth table by the window and sat down. Surprisingly enough Robert followed me into the same seat and sat down beside me. I felt my stomach tingle just because our arms were touching. Oh God. The things Robert can do to me.

"Smile." He commanded as he held up his phone. I rested my head on his shoulder and smiled widely. The face he made I cant describe, but I will say it's the face he makes in most of his selfies to make himself look serious.

"Hey, Robert?" I asked and leaned against the cool window. He looked at me after turning his phone off. He must have posted that picture of us.

"Can I tell you a secret?" I asked as my fingers fumbled around each other. Rob nodded and scooted closer.
