The next day at school, Kona and Kyo approached Makoto.

"We know what you and Ayaka talked about." said Kona. "Apparently, Kona saw you guys talking, so she decided to sneak up on you two from a nearby table." explained Kyo. Makoto was shocked to hear what they said, so he told them, "There's no way Ayaka could be in love with me, right guys?".

Kyo and Kona looked at each other, "Of course she loves you, why would she even ask if you love her or not?" answered Kona. "But, no one can be in love with someone like me.. right? i'm a nobody." explained Makoto. "Yea, but remember what she said the other day? that you're special? and the way she defended you, out of all the guys her ex bullied, she chose you, remember?" replied Kona.

Makoto was deep in thought.. "She doesn't love me! okay?!"

"What if we proved to you that she does love you?" asked Kyo, "I can tell my sister to pretend that you're her boyfriend, and when Ayaka gets jealous, she's bound to show her feelings for you." explained Kyo.

Makoto thought about the idea, "Ok deal, but just to show you guys that Ayaka doesn't love me!" replied Makoto.

Soon enough, Kyuna Hashimoto, Kyo's sister, went with the plan and hanged out with Makoto.

During lunch time, Makoto and Kyuna was sitting together, Makoto saw Ayaka across the table, she simply smiled.

And after classes, Makoto was getting ready to go home, as he walked down the street, he suddenly bumped into Ayaka. "Aya-chan! hi, how are you?" asked Makoto. "I'm fine, so you found someone who would love you for who you are? that's great! i'm so proud of you!" smiled Ayaka. "Well, sorry Mako-kun, i've gotta go, lots of homework to do!"

As Ayaka turned her back on Makoto, she held her tears and tried not to cry.

Makoto, looking back at Ayaka, looked sad, so he went home and went upstairs to his room. He saw the jasmine flower Ayaka gave him, withering. He knelt down, crying.

He slowly took the flower's seed, went to school at night, and planted it.

He went back home, depressed, couldn't sleep..

"I'm sorry... Aya-chan.."
