He held me tight as we walked towards my house. I didn't live that far so we were there pretty quickly. When we got there I unlocked the door and gestured him to come inside. He nodded in understanding. We walked to the kitchen and I gave him a bottle of cold water. I excused myself to wash my face.

I looked in the mirror looked like a slob. I comb my hair and put it into a messy bun. Once I dried my face I walked back to the kitchen and saw Aiden on his phone. He looked up and saw me.

"Thank you again.. I owe you, so what do you want?" I asked politely sitting across from him. He turns his full attention on me and offered a smile. I decided that maybe I would give him the cold shoulder soon, but not now. Not yet.

"Let me get to know you" He said. I looked up at him and nodded.

"What do you wanna know?" I said lowly not wanting to project my voice so loudly. He thought about it before speaking.

"Everything" He stated simply. I thought about it for a moment before sighing.

"I'm LilyJane Johnson. I'm 4' 10'' as you can see. I have hazel eyes and scars in a lot of places. I'm known as a nerd and an outcast in Caryville High School. That's all there is to say." I finished off quickly, I look up at him slowly. His eyes have softened but being covered by his usual blank expression.

"Why don't you talk?" He asked plainly. I looked at him before looking down.

"I don't see a reason to" I said simply. That's basically why I don't speak to others. There's no reason for it in the end. I slowly started to lift my head and look at Aiden. I attempted to change that subject and said the first thing that came to mind.

"Wanna eat something? I'll make spaghetti, my treat" I said to him lowly before getting up from my stool and walking towards the pantry and grabbed a small box of pasta and a can of tomato sauce. I put them on the table and take a big pot out putting water inside. I put it on the stove and start to boil it. I turn around and saw Aiden looking at me with a blank expression.

I looked into his eyes and saw a true happy smile. I smile at him before taking out the pasta out the box and pouring it into the pot.

"Do you like spaghetti?" I asked turning to him waiting for the pasta to soften. I sit on the same stool I did before across from him.

"Yeah sure......" He trails off. I look at him confusingly.

"You don't like spaghetti?" I asked him. He nods slowly to me looking down.

"Well by the time you taste LilyJane's delicious spaghetti, you'll love spaghetti before you know it" I beamed to him. He chuckled before looking up at me.

"Yeah okay, we'll see about that Lily" He said to me. I turned back to the pot and saw the pasta was done. I pour the water out and let the pasta sit in the pot. I cut some little spices and put it into the pot. I mix it up and take out two plates. I put a good enough serving on each plate and put the pot back on the stove. I pour some tomato sauce neatly on the pasta. Afterwards I take the two plates and place it on the table, I take out two forks and give him one.

"Ready to like spaghetti A?" I asked. Before I realized I said A , I look at him before speaking.

"I'm sorry! I meant Aiden" I said to him quickly. He laughed at me before responding.

"It's fine, call me A, I don't mind" He responded. He took his fork and spinned the spaghetti with it and put in in his mouth. As I waited I did the same making sure to stay neat and quiet. I chew quickly and waited for him to judge.

"It's not bad" He says shaking his head in approval. I smile in achievement.

"Yes!" I say jumping out of my chair. I sit back down and continue to eat, once we were both done I took our plates to the sink and began to wash them. I was then interiuptted by Aiden.

"I'll wash them, no buts I'm the guest" He said and before I could answer he picked me up and sat me on the table, I took out two bottles of water and waited for him to finish up.

Would he change if I showed him my escape?

There's only one way to find out my inner voice said to my thoughts. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the stool across me move. I look across to me and see Aiden drinking water. He puts the bottle down and looks at me.

I look into his clear blue eyes and see what I haven't seen before. He's fighting constantly sometimes beat to the pulp. Blood is everywhere, most of the time it's not even his.

Would he kill someone?

I looked into his eyes once more and saw he almost did. I didn't want him doing that anymore, or hurting anyone, as a matter of a fact, just to release emotions, it isn't worth it. I regained my posture I barely had and looked down.

"Can you do me a favor?" I ask him. I slowly lift my head and see he nodded in response.

"Stop fighting" I whispered to him. I looked to him and into his eyes. I offered him a warm smile. He nodds in response. We sat in a calm silence for a few minutes before coming up with an idea.

"Can I show you something?" I asked him. He opened his eyes and nodded. I looked up at him and smiled.

Hopefully this is the right choice. Leap of faith here I go.

I grabbed his hand and dragged him up stairs to it.

My escape.
