10, All Your Fault

I quickly slammed the door open as I ran as quickly as my feet could carry me. "MIKASAAAA!!" I yelled as I ran towards her limp body sprawled on the floor.

Her eyes we're fighting to stay awake as I fell to my knees to gently turn her body around and pick her up.

Blood was flowing every part of her body, as tiny little shards impaled them all. Blood was everywhere and it was drenching my clothes.

"M-Mikasa..?" I stuttered as I felt tears well up in my eyes. "Your-Your going to be okay.." I said as I turned my head towards the house and called for Levi as loud as I could.

Before I could call for him I felt a weak hand gently touch my cheek as I looked down to see Mikasa's tired eyes stare into mine.

Her helpless face, tired eyes, pale skin, and her gentle smile made me want to hug her and keep her safe in my arms more than anything.

"M-Mikasa..?" I asked hoping she was okay. The memory of my careless driving and the shattering glass filled my head...

This was my fault...

"Er-Eren..." She mumbled. Her voice was hoarse and she could barely speak.
"It's going to be okay Mika-"
"Eren I..."
"Mikasa it's all my-" I was cut off as Levi ran through the doors with Petra behind him.

"MIKASA!!" Petra shrieked with terror seeing Mikasa's state of condition. Levi quickly ran towards me. He knelt on one knee and checked her pulse by placing two fingers under her jawline.

He looked over at Petra and nodded. "I'll take her." Levi said as he picked her up bridal style carrying her gently to the house.

I followed closely behind and for once, Levi had emotion in his face. He was worried.

Levi went up the stairs and into the bathroom and laid her gently in the tub with Petra rummaging through the cupboards to find medical supplies.

Before I could step in, Petra held her palm out to me signaling me to stop where I was.
"It's okay, we got this. Wait outside." Her voice sounded serious.

"But I-"
She closed the door.

I stood there in shock. This... this is all my fault.. I lowered my head down in defeat as I trudged my sorry ass to my room to shower and change clothes.

As soon as I finished showering and slipped my clothes on. I lied on the middle of the floor starring up at the dead white ceiling.

The felt of guilt kept washing over me..
I couldn't get her out of my head, it was impossible...

Flashback

"Shut the hell up you dork!" I laughed through the phone.
"I'm serious, if you really want to make a connection with her again. Start over." Armin replied with a small chuckle.

I felt a sigh escape my lips, "Mikasa hates me... she won't listen to me."
I heard Armin flip a page of a book. Of course this nerd was reading while talking.

Sometimes I felt like he even talked to his own books.

"Hey retard."
"Asshole."
"Just talk to her. Trust me."
"Whatever you say, asshole."

He laughed over the phone as well as I.
"I guess I could give it a try..." I mumbled to the phone.
I could hear his smile, "Atta girl!"

We both laughed.

End of Flash Back

I felt tears well up in my eyes again as I and my best to blink them away.
"This is all my fault, Mikasa..." my voice cracked.

I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my skin, as I continuously wiped them away.

"M-Mikasa..." my endless flowing tears turned into sobs. I sobbed quietly to myself in the dark with the moons light my only source.

Memories kept flowing into my head of her laugh, the adorable face she made when she was pissed, and most of all, her gentle smile that lit up my world.

Because of my careless driving, she was injured. This was my fault...

I bathed in the blood I made her shed... what kind of monster am I...?

I'm such a stupid fuck.. I won't ever forgive myself for hurting the one I loved most...

I'm so sorry... Mikasa.

This is all my fault...
