"Ta-daaa"Loki sang proudly.

"Wait." Freya began trying to process everything.  "That's impossible!  We're inside of a cave.  The only way to Midgard is the Bifrost, Loki everyone knows that!"

"Everyone thinks that." He corrected her.

"What!?"She asked truly baffled.  She was certain Loki was truly mad after all.

"There are many paths and tunnels to travel to other realms." He said.  He took her hand and led her out of the cave.

"What paths, what tunnels? I've never heard of such things."Freya insisted.  Loki didn't say anything he simply continued to walk.  "How did you come to find these secret passages?"Freya asked.  She watched as a smile stole across his lips.  Freya leapt in front of him.  "Loki!"She squared her shoulders.  She was not short for a woman.  She was tall.  She nearly as tall as Loki and she was not afraid of him.  She glared at him.  Loki smiled a sweet smile.  He put his hands on her arms.

"When the time is right."He whispered.  He kissed her forehead then took her hand once again and began walking.  Freya knew she wasn't getting any answers now; or maybe even ever.

As they walked, the caved seemed different .  The ground was less earthy and more solid, and suddenly it was as if someone or something had opened up the mountain, except now they were between two large buildings in an alley.  She spun around trying to see the passage, but it was just the buildings.  It made no sense.

"How do we get back?"She asked.  Loki raised a hand up and shook his head.  Freya nodded.  She just had to trust him, as scary as that was.  She took a deep breath, she had been dreaming about this moment her whole life.  It was going to be, it had to be wonderful.  Together they walked hand in hand down the alley and turned the corner and right onto Fishermen's Wharf.  Freya's eyes widened like that of a child.  She was reminded of midgardian books such as Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz.  She could absolutely relate to those fictional children as she gazed upon this magnificent, and strange new realm.

"What would you like to see first?"Loki asked bringing her back to the present.

"What is this beautiful place?  Where in Midgard are we?"She asked excitedly.  Loki pointed at the huge sign bearing the name:  FISHERMEN'S WHARF of SAN FRANCSICO.  Before he knew what was happening, Freya took off running still holiding Loki's hand and yanking him forward.  She stopped almost as abruptly as she had taken off when she spotted a fruit stand.  She marvled at the many fruits on display.  They were quite lovely.  Some of them were like those on Asgard, and others were completely foreign as something she had never seen before.

"Would you like a strawberry?"A man's voice interuppted her thoughts.  He was tall with a strong build.  His hair was sandy blonde and his eyes were blue.  He was young, she guessed for a Midgardian.  It was hard to tell even with her studies.  He was handsome though, that was certain.

"A what?"She asked tilting her head the way a dog does upon hearing a strange noise.

"A strawberry."He repeated unsure if she was serious or missing a few screws.  Freya took the strawberry and studied it curiously.  It was large, red and plump.  She smelled the fruit.  It was sweet.  She bit into it, just a small tentative taste.  The sweetness exploded in her mouth.  She wasted no time in devouring the remainder of the strawberry leaf and all.

"Uhhh..."The vendor began.

"I love these!"Freya exclaimed.  "Another!"She shouted with glee.  Loki wasn't sure if he should laugh or bury his face in this predicament.  In the end, it was a mix of the two, with Loki peeking out between his fingers and supressing laughter.   The vendor chuckled in amusement.
