Loki gazed into Freya's eyes and smiled at her with that playful grin she knew all to well.
"Freya..."Came his husky whisper. She nodded dumbly. He laughed low and deep. She was still in a haze. Loki grinned more. He was having fun now. "Shall we go on adventure?"He whispered in a sultry tone right next to Freya's ear. He knew full well the sound of his voice would send shock waves throughout her system. At first, Freya merely nodded, but then she stiffened and pulled back as much as she could from Loki's grasp. She pushed at his chest.
"What?"Freya insisted. Loki simply tilted his head and smiled again. He kissed her.
"Come with me."He purred.
"You just asked me to stay!"Freya countered.
"Because I didn't want you to leave."Loki answered logically. He brushed at her hair, and stroked her cheek. Freya nuzzled her face into his hand. Loki smiled and started to pull away. They were at arms length when Freya stopped him by grabbing his hand. Loki didn't budge. He merely smiled, but he could see that Freya's patience was wearing thin. His smile faded and he took a step toward her and gave her a gentle tug. She came a little closer but did not meet him half way.
"Unless you tell me where we are going, I will go home."Freya said flatly. She was done with Loki's games and he knew it. He nodded.
"As you wish."Loki stated once again closing the distance between them. "We have recently acquired enchanted mirrors--"
"Enchanted mirrors?"Freya repeated.
"Yes. Their magic is most intriguing."
"Loki,"Freya began. "enchanted mirrors can be very dangerous. You have no idea what properties they possess!"
"Aren't you the least bit curious?"He coaxed as he stood next to her. "Mirrors can unlock many things."He whispered. Freya turned to face Loki. He was all but daring her to refuse him. She would be lying if she said she wasn't at all curious, but where did the mirrors even come from? Loki looked from Freya and then to the direction where she guessed the mirrors would be.
"Well?"Loki's voice rumbled low and husky in Freya's ear. Freya turned toward him, staring at him nose to nose.
"Show me."She smiled firmly. Loki smiled.
As they walked hand in hand, Freya convinced herself she was there for Loki's sake; to protect him from himself. They turned down corridors Freya was not familiar with. She was disoriented and no longer knew where they came from or where they were going. She grabbed Loki's arm.
"Having second thoughts my love."Loki teased. He called her, "his love." Freya thought. For a moment she stuck on his words.
"N-no"She finally stammered. "I just--"Freya thought for a minute. "What about the feast? The celebration?"Freya scrambled for something; anything to bring Loki to his senses.
"I assure you, we will not be missed."He said with absolute confidence.
"Okay..."Freya said. "What about..."Freya thought again. "Odin! He didn't seem too pleased with me. Surely an act such as this--"
Loki was already shaking his head. "Trust me, you are not the problem."He said to her as he placed his hands on her arms. "I'm not overly concerned with what he thinks of me these days anyway."Loki spat. Freya tilted her head; truly puzzled by his statement. He smiled and kissed her forehead. "Never mind it."Loki said simply. Freya wrapped her arms around him and held onto him. Loki was a bit taken aback by Freya's sudden act of tenderness. It was different than other hugs they had shared. She held him like she would never let go. It was both terrifying and comforting to Loki. He finally wrapped his arms around her in response.
