Why? - Chapter Thirteen

Jaime's P.O.V.

"We ran into Kellin at the pet store." I could feel the tears sliding down my cheeks.

Mike took the cat from my hands, and Tony helped me to the couch.

"So why are you crying?" Mike asked, petting the cat that was in his hands.

"Kellin said that Vic enjoyed the kiss. I forgave him the first time, but I don't know if I can any more. I understand if you guys I don't want me here. After all Vic is your brother Mike, and soon to be brother in law for Tony." I stammered, the tears falling faster than anticipated. 

"What Vic did was wrong, regardless of him being my brother. You are in no way the bad guy. Do you think Vic is still at the pet store?" Mike told me.

"Probably making out with Kellin." I sobbed.

Tony put a reassuring hand on my back, rubbing circles, trying to commiserate me.

"Thank you Tony." I choked out.

 "Okay, Jaime, I'm going to go down to the pet store, and talk some sense into him. I'll hear his side of the story. You can stay here with Tony and your cat, and watch a movie or something." Mike suggested, he grabbed his keys, and gave Tony a kiss, as well as handing him the cat.

"Mike, could you pick up all the cat stuff out of the back of the car?" I asked.

"Yeah. Alright, I'm gonna leave, but I'll be back in 30 minutes." he told us, then walked out the door.

"Can  I have my kitty please?" I asked Tony.

He nodded and handed me my new kitty.

"What are you gonna name him?" 

"I was thinking somewhere along the lines of snowball or snowflake, but I think since he's really fluffy, cloud." I explained to him. 

"That's a cute name. Can I let you in on a little secret?"

"Yeah, go ahead." 

"We have a cat too. Mike didn't want to tell you about it, because he thought Vic would lecture him about responsibility."

"Awe, how cute. Do you wanna go get him or her?" I asked. I thought maybe Cloud would enjoy a friend. 

Tony nodded, and got up to get the cat.

Leaving me alone may not have been a good idea, due to the fact that all I could think about is Vic. And how much I missed him. Yes, he did do wrong, but there was no denying that I was still in love with him.

I felt tears falling down my face, but tried to wipe them away before Tony got back. However, I failed, and he came in just in time to see the last few.

He practically dropped the cat, and rushed to my side.

"Jaime, are you okay?" he asked frantically.

"No. I'm not," I sobbed, "I just want to know why he did it and why he didn't tell me!"

"He ha-" his words were cut off by the door opening.

"Jaime, I'm so sorry, please let me explain!" Vic burst through the front door.

"No! Just leave me alone!" I yelled, running to a different part of the house.

I thought I loved him, but I can't even look him in the eye.
