"Okay. I need to talk to you about something."
"And that is?"
"Next year, I'm switching schools."
"Okay?"
"Okay, so I need your help deciding if I should switch to Central or Hillside."
"Obviously Hillside."
"But don't you go to Central?"
"Yes, but if I had the choice, I would definitely move to Hillside."
"And why's that?"
"It's a better school, plus it has a beautiful view."
"That's true."
"If you know that, then why is it such a hard decision for you to make?"
"Because you and a couple of my other friends are attending Central, but mostly because of you."
"So clever."
"I thought so."
"Okay, pretty boy. You choose whatever school you want, but Central isn't that great."
"If you're there, then it sounds pretty great."
"Okay, seriously, if you keep this up, I might start to think you're in love with me."
"And if I am?"
"Then, you better stop it."
"Stop what? Stop loving you? That's not possible."
"You don't even know anything about me."
"I think we've talked about this before."
"Okay, but I'm still weirded out."
"What, don't you like the idea of love?"
"No, actually, I don't."
"Okay, so you're not like every other seventeen year old girl."
"Who said I was seventeen?"
"I guessed."
"Well, you're a good guesser."
"I should put that on my resume."
"I don't think people really look for that in a person."
"Hey, the weather people might. Are they ever right?"
"Sometimes."
"Are they ever right?"
"No, not really."
"Exactly. That's why they need me. They are never right, and I'm a good guesser. They need me."
"I'm gonna tell one of them you said that they are never right."
"And they will probably agree. I'm not saying they are bad at their job or anything. It's just really hard to predict exactly what the weather is going to do."
"Good save."
"I'm going to have to think about this school thing a bit."
"Why exactly are you getting to choose anyway?"
"My parents bought a house that's right between the two high schools, so I get to choose."
"Well that's pretty cool. You probably drive anyway, don't you?"
"Yeah, I do."
"What do you drive?"
"It's a mustang."
"A mustang that probably cost you a crap ton."
"Actually, it wasn't that bad."
"Not that bad."
"I paid for it myself."
"How?"
"I worked, plus my mom has had my savings account going since I was born."
"Still!"
"It's not that bad."
"Okay, now I know that you're rich."
"We're not rich."
"Incorrect. You own a mustang, you're rich."
"It's a cheap mustang."
"But it's probably your first car. That's still expensive for a first car."
"I'll give you that."
"You know how much my first car cost me?"
"How much?"
"Three thousand."
"It's probably a nice car too."
"It's my baby."
"What is it?"
"A regular cab ford pickup."
"Oh, good. I was hoping it wasn't a Chevy. We wouldn't have been able to be friends if it was a Chevy."
"I don't like Chevy's."
"Yeah me either. Be right there, Mom. I got to go."
"Bye, Grayson."
"Bye, Nessa."
-call ended-
"He's rich."
