*Grayson's Point of View*

As school let out, I tried to decide what Nessa looked like, but she never told me anything about how she looked. Once I reached the front exit of the school, I gave up on picturing her. There was no way that I could see something that I hadn't ever seen before much less if I don't know the basic features of their face.

The parking lot was hot to the touch. The smell of summer in the air. Students rushed out of the building in every direction, desperate to get to their homes, or wherever else they were going.

My car sat at the far end of the lot, waiting for me. The red shone brighter than any other car in the lot. Nearing the car, I pulled out my keys, and unlocked it. As I sat down in the driver's seat, I threw my bag into the back, and waited for Kasen. He took ages to get out of the building, but I would wait for him, since he was my best bro.

As I turn the key, my car comes to life. Seconds later, the passenger door is thrust open. Kasen sits down on my black leather seats. He was covered in sweat from head to toe.

"Dude, you have got to start standing underneath the hand dryer before you get into my car. You are ruining my seats." I say to Kasen.

I begin to pull out of my parking spot, but other students me cut off. The student parking lot is the worst place to try to drive in the entire town. There is a wreck at least once a week. The wrecks aren't usually anymore than fender benders, but still. The cops still have to come, and somebody is usually charged. It's ridiculous honestly. It usually is both of the students' faults, so just go on with your life. No use pointing fingers.

"I dried off with a towel. I thought you'd say something nice to me, since I basically ran to get here. I didn't even take very long today." Kasen punches my shoulder.

Kasen is a fairly decent sized guy. His shoulders are very broad, and his legs and arms are the size of Texas. Other than that, he is normal, size wise.

"You did get here quicker. Thanks, dude."

I finally get a chance to pull out, and I take it. Now, I just have to take Kasen home, then I can go meet Nessa.

After many minutes of jamming to DJ Khaled, Kasen gets out of my car that sits in his driveway.

"Good luck with the date, bro. I bet she's hot." He winks and slams the door closed. I roll the window down to respond to him.

"I don't care what she looks like, and it's not a date." I say as I shake my head.

"Yeah right, dude." He walks into his house, and closes the door behind him.

Pulling out of his driveway, my head is spinning. The thoughts inside it are going in so many different directions.

I zone back in, and turn Pandora on while sitting at a red light. I play my classical music station.

As Beethoven and his orchestra play for my ears, I turn onto main street. Old, tall buildings are all I can see. Apartment buildings, hair salons, flower shops, and antique stores are built around the street. Some are newer than others, but they all have that same vintage look.

Bailey wasn't a small town by any means, it was more of a small city. The population of this town was six times that of my parents hometown, Willow Springs. There's more things here in Bailey. More people. More things to do. More places to live. More attractions. More tourists. It's just a lot bigger. I don't think I really like that either.

A sign up ahead flashes "Lisa's Coffee Stop", and I parallel park along the old cracked road. Vintage Downtown was not in the best shape, but it was my favorite place in the entire city. I unplug my phone from the USB charger. Bach stops leading his orchestra immediately. I take my time getting in the building, where I sit on the farthest side of the room. I set my elbow down on the table, and place my head in my hand.

There aren't many people in here at the moment. A girl sitting at the other end of the bar, and a few scattered in booths. A barista talks to the girl at the other end.

I decide to call Nessa to get an idea about when she will be getting here. I'm as excited and nervous as I have ever been. Is it possible to be in love with someone you've never even met?

"Hey, Grayson. When are you going to get here?"

"I'm already here."

"Where are you sitting?"

"The end of the bar farthest from the door."

"I'm sorry. Say that again. I can't hear you over the guy at the other end of the room."

"I'm sitting at the end of the bar farthest from the door."

"No way."

"What?"

I turned my head to look around, when I make eye contact with a gorgeous brunette. Her eyes are brown, and she looks as surprised as I am.

"Holy crap."
