*Nessa's Point of View*

"I-uh-um-I-uh."

He hangs up the phone, and jumps off his barstool with such grace. A grin that melts my heart from the inside out makes a sudden appearance on his face. I smile, and stare at the tanned hands that sit folded in my lap. I'm never nervous and awkward, but I feel that way now.

When I look back up, he's close enough to touch, close enough for me to poke the dimple that appears when he smiles. I notice I'm staring, and I let my head fall back down out of embarrassment. A half a second later, a hand is placed under my chin to hold my head up, it's not my hand though.

"Stare while you can, Nessa. It's not easy to take in one's gorgeous features over the phone."

Just like that, I am reminded of his above-average ego. I loose all nervousness and awkwardness, instead replacing those emotions with squinted eyes.

"Not much there to take in," I say shrugging my shoulders, and turning my body to face the bar again.

"You went from innocent to the Nessa that I know, but don't enjoy as much, in a matter of seconds."

"What can I say? Your ego is a major turn off."

"But my eyes." He smiles a confident smile, and flutters his eyes.

"Are just average." I wave the new barista over.

"Oh, come on, Nessa. Admit that you find me attractive. I mean, how could you not? Look at me." Grayson motions toward his entire body, and gives me the googly eyes.

"I might find you attractive, if I was twelve." I turn my attention to the barista who holds a pen in paper, waiting for me to say what I want. "Water, please."

"I'll take the strongest thing you've got."

The barista nods, and gets to work preparing our drinks.

"I'm offended."

"With that face you should be." In the air, I trace around his face, then plant a smirk on mine.

"I-"

"Your water, miss, and an Arabica House Special for you." She winks at him, and walks off.

"She appreciates my charming face." He elbows my arm.

The kind of touching that reminds both of us that we are only just friends. But, I can see in his eyes that he wants to be more than that. And, I'm starting to think that I want that too.
