Chapter 5 Awakening

People were crowding around the Main Square. As Zayn walked into my cabin.

" Wake up, Ethel you need to get up! There's something important that you of all people need to see!"

I slowly awoke.

" Excuse me but I need to get dressed,"

" And...?"

" Turn around!"

"Right! Sure, you just... uh... Get dressed and I'll turn around and... you... just... get dressed," that hung around in the air for a bit.

He kept l on turning his head halfway and thinking about it for a bit and went back to just standing there.

As soon as I was dressed he took me outside to the main square. An announcer started to speak.

" Welcome to our Yearly Show-Off! As we all know, As you are called up, you will preform your talent in the most pompous way you possibly can!" The announcer cried ," And first of, let's have Ethel Crosway! ... Ethel Crosway?" Harry nudged me to step forward.

I stepped forward with fear in my lungs. I started to talk.

" I don't... know... my power," everybody gasped. They thought I knew my power but was just really shy.

" Well..." the announcer said ", Then I guess we'll have to find out! The list please?" Louis handed the announcer the list of words I didn't understand.

" Strength," a bulky looking man set a weight in front of me. " Well, go on, lift it!"

I attempted, I failed.

" Uh, next is..." he ran his finger across the page ", telekinesis, lift me up and put me over there!"

"..."

" Ok, then! What can you do?! Force Field? Fire? Water? Air? Earth? Flying? What is it you do!?

" I'm tired of being treated like a circus bear!" the ground started to shake as I got angrier ", I'm tired of acting like some kind of ignorant child!" By that time it was earthquake.

Everybody's eyes were open wide. I began to calm down and so did the ground below my feet.

Harry, Niall, and Louis got down to their feet. And soon after, as did everyone else.

Except Zayn.
