Jason's wolf^

Jason's pov

It was beautiful.

Chris had brought me to a large wide open field. The grass was long with silky strands and specks of colorful flowers here and there.

"Wow", was all I had been able to say. I stood there gazing in amazement at the wonderful scene. A cool welcoming breeze came through, ruffling my hair. I could feel Chris looking at me with a smile.

"Well? What do you think?", he asked.

"I... It's beautiful..", I said to him. Never in my life had I seen something so great.

"Well then, what are we waiting for?", he asked exitedly. He then grabbed my hand and ran with me toward the field.

Down in the field the grass was taller than it seemed, and came up to my waist. Just tall enough for Chris to pop down out of sight like it was water.

I started giggling as I felt stealthy hands tickle my stomach.

"Gah!! H-hey!! St-ahahah-pp!!", I laughed, blindly swatting at the attack from below.

The tickling soon stopped and I saw the grass wavering a few feet away from me. Positive I would find Chris there, I slowly crept upon the spot. It stopped as soon as I was a few inches away from it.

"Gotcha!", I said, quickly moving the tall grass apart expecting to see Chris. I didn't. What I did find was a pile of the clothes he was wearing.
"Huh?", where did Chris go? I could've sworn he was just here...

There were quick movements in the grass around me. My eyes darted back and forth as I watched the movement in the grass get closer to me.

"Chris?", I asked.

Suddenly a large black wolf popped out of the grass. Surprised, I stumbled backward and fell on my butt.

"Chris?", I asked again, but I already felt and knew it was him.

His tail wagged as he pressed forward and liked my face. Talk about deja vu.

I giggled a bit and began to gently scratch be hind his ear. He seemed happy and licked at my free hand.

To be honest. It kind of still amazed me to see another wolf. I mean. Like I said, I never really met many others. It felt good to be around others like me actually....

"Why don't you shift?"

Chris's voice was clear in my head. It had startled me a little because I had almost forgotten about the link.

I staired at him for what seemed like a long time. I slightly looked away.

"I-I'm not really used to it. My dad threated to kill me if he'd ever seen me shift again, and that was after my first shift when I was 14....", I admitted out loud, huging my knees to my chest.

I could tell that Chris tried to bite back a growl after telling him what my dad had told me.

"It's ok for you to shift, Jason. It's not healthy for you or you wolf without it, and it can really put a lot of strain on your body, making you weaker than you should be. And in most cases, Kills your wolf.", Chris told me.

I gave a small gulp. I didn't know that could happen. And I sure didn't want Sam to die.

I gave him a small nod.

"...I-I understand", I told him.

"Good. Now, go on. It's alright.", Chris told me, nudging me with his nose.
