Not long after Sesshomaru killed Kikyo, Rin was pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl. They named her Sayuri, which means small lily. Sesshomaru never would've imagined he'd fall for a human and have a half demon daughter. He tried to be kinder than he was before. He visits Inuyasha and Kagome's village from time to time so Sayuri could play with her cousins. Inuyasha and Kagome were very surprise, yet happy that Sesshomaru decided to change his mean ways. Sesshomaru realized a while after Sayuri was born, that he had someone else to love besides Rin.
The three children of Inuyasha and Kagome taught Sayuri how to fight to defend herself. Sayuri and the youngest child of Inuyasha and Kagome were closer to each other in age, and they got along well since they were girls and got to talk about other things besides fighting. Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, Manami, was only 2 years older than Sayuri. Sayuri would beg Sesshomaru to let her go to their village to visit them. After a while, Sesshomaru and Rin decided that they would move in to the village with Inuyasha and Kagome's family. They are now much older and stronger, so they went hunting a lot together. The day Scarlett arrived was the day Sesshomaru found out Kikyo and Setsuna was alive again. He didn't think about questioning Scarlett at all, since she was obviously clueless and innocent. The day Yoshito and Scarlett returned from the village after seeing Setsuna, with Scarlett's face full of tears, Sesshomaru tried to track down Kikyo and Setsuna, but couldn't find them because they hid themselves well. Sesshomaru had decided to train Scarlett to fight, along with Yoshito, so they could be ready for anything.
