What a birthday

Chloe's POV

I go to sleep thinking about today's events. I can't believe I saw that! I thought he loved me. I thought i meant something to him! But he was just creeping around behind my back the whole time. The more I kept thinking about it, the more my eyes welled up with tears. I end up crying myself to sleep.

I woke up with a tear filled pillow and a red blotchy face and a runny nose. I look at my clock which reads 09:30. So I get up and go to the bathroom,wash my face and clean my teeth. I then grab a hair tie and a brush then put my hair in a ponytail. I was too frustrated to remember it was my birthday! This is the day I get to wear my perfect dress! The one I get with Paige and...well. I'd rather forget she even existed at this point.

"Happy birthday chlo! You are getting really old now! I can start to see wrinkles coming on." My dad joked but I checked my face for wrinkles just in case.my dad always puts me in a good mood. I was smiling like the Cheshire Cat! I told him to get out of my room while I put on my new outfit.

"Okay okay, I'm going!" He laughed with his hands up in the air as I push him out.

I grabbed my new dress from the closet and laid it on my bed, still admiring it. I couldn't wait to try it on! I got undressed and slipped in over my head and zipped it up at the side. I looked in the mirror and a beautiful girl with an astonishing outfit on stared back at her.i got my new button earrings out and placed them in my ears and picked up my shoes from the shoe rack. I didn't put these on because we're not aloud to wear shoes indoors. I quickly put some eye liner and lipgloss on and walk proudly down the stairs as my family was clapping and wooing at me. I gave them a little twirl and my mom nearly started crying because I was growing up too fast. I put my shoes on and went outside to have a photo taken.

By this time it's eleven o'clock and party guests should be showing up any minute. Outside there's lots of balloons and banners stating that I'm 15 today and inside is pretty much the same. I was greeting everyone at the door, as they hand me presents and cards. I politely say thank you and show them to the barbecue in the back garden. Maddie came with her mom dad and kenzie. I faked a smile for the others, but I couldn't look Maddie in the eye.

"Through there." I say to her pointing to the back yard.

"I've already gave you my gift, I hope you like it." She says in a wierd kind of way. She then walks past me, picks up a drink and then she walked over to kenzie. Nick came a couple minutes later and said I look amazing and how sorry he was. This time he took it too far. Maddie can have him. Who wants to be with someone who made out with there bestfriend/ex and then hope that they didn't find out. I didn't say anything to him. I just stepped back and let him walk past.

After everyone had a few hotdogs and burgers, my mom came out with a cake. It was the most amazing cake I had ever seen! It was round with big letters saying 'Hunger Games' with the badge on and a bow and arrow. It had 15 candles all the way around it and butter icing in a ring around it at the bottom and top. I was so happy!

"Happy birthday to you, " they all sang, as I decided what my wish would be. I thought about the usual stuff like owning the biggest teddy bear in the world, or getting VIP tickets to see your favourite band. But then I started to think about the events over yesterday. How Maddie betrayed me. I finally had the wish I wanted. This is what I want.

"Haaapppyyy birthdayyy toooo yoouuuuu!" They said as they all clapped. I blew out the candles as I wished that...Maddie would die in the next 2 weeks. Technically, everybody cheered for Maddies death. So it's not just me being crazy. You may be thinking, do i really want this? Don't I think I'm going over the top? No. She killed me on the inside, so I shall kill her on the outside. Anyway, when does a birthday wish actually come true?

Melissa came up to me after about 20 minutes with her phone in her hand.

" I've just got a call from my husbands boss that he needs me and him to go and help him with something! I have no idea what but he said he will tell us when we get there. The only problem is that my children have no way of getting home! Please can you drop them off for me? A baby sitter will be there when they get home, but she can't drive. So will you?" She looked desperate. Even though I hate Maddie, I love kenzie. I said we will and she thanked me loads.

"Don't mention it." I added as she rushed off to her car with her husband.

Maddie looked at me in the same way she did in the bus on the way back from school. Once again, I ignored her, but this time, I don't completely trust her...
