It has been 1 month since the war ended and everyone had been trying to make an effort to bring things back to normal. The villagers in konoha and as well as all the shinobi were helping in rebuilding their new lives. Everyone except one person, Sasuke uchiha.

Yamato was in charge of guarding Sasuke during the time where the new hokage kakashi and the rest of the kage figure out what to do with him. Sasuke told them he accepted anything that they wanted, including death, however his friends in team seven wouldn't allow such a fate and begged the other kage to choose differently. Sasuke was consumed with guilt for all he had done.

Sasuke felt more than greatful for what naruto, sakura and kakashi were doing for him but he couldn't help but feel he didn't deserve it. Yamato created a tiny wooden house to keep Sasuke in. Even though he was certain Sasuke wouldn't do anything to escape he created a barrier around the house making him the only one while in that house who could use chakra to battle. The house was situated in the corner of the village.

It was dark in that house no matter what time of day it was. A candle burning in the corner of the room allowing them to see enough to move. The other kage didn't trust Sasuke at all and they wanted Sasuke under tight security. Who was kakashi to deny their request. He couldn't no matter what he asked of them. Sasuke wasn't allowed to wear anything besides pants to ensure he wasn't carrying a weapon with him. It would sometimes get so cold at night and Sasuke would freeze.

Sasuke knew he deserved everything they were doing to him, but he couldn't help but feel his heart aching in sadness. The amount of hate the people would show him is unbelievable. Sasuke couldn't help but feel like team seven was being too kind.

Sasuke would everyday sit on the wooden floor and lean his back against the wall as he tries to remember all the good times he had in his life. He would smile at those memories, wishing that it could all go back to being like that again.

Naruto and sakura were too busy to go visit Sasuke. Not that he didn't understand because the war had just ended. Sakura was helping heal all those who were injured and there were quite a lot of them. She would have no time to do anything. She didn't even have time for herself. Naruto was busy helping rebuild the village and also help sakura heal those who suffered injuries that would take years to heal. He also had to go to the academy to learn how to become hokage. Naruto also didn't have the time to visit Sasuke and he felt terrible about it.

Sasuke didn't feel any form of hate toward them because of it. He was just happy to know that they would always be there for him. The whole village knew where Sasuke!e was being kept. It was no secret. They would throw stones at his prison and scream his name in disgust. Sasuke was also allowed visitors. Some villagers would pretend to care about him and bring him food and then immediately left him to his meal. Sasuke would thank the person for their kindness and bite through the food. Before he knew it his stomach would ache and make him cough out blood. The villagers loosened the food they gave him.

Sasuke would clench his fists in anger and sadness. Yamato also felt sorry for Sasuke and requested for the hokage to stop allowing visitors to come and see Sasuke but Sasuke told them  that if poisoning him and throwing stones at him would get rid of their hatred then it was fine. Yamato truly believed Sasuke was never a bad person to begin with.

It wasn't long until Sasuke had stopped eating completely. He would go hungry for a couple of days straight. He thought it was fine to let the villagers keep mocking him until a day came when they went too far. They mocked his brother. Calling him a trader and saying that he deserved to die. Sasuke's heart started growing cold and he was itching to kill those who dare to mock his beloved brother. However he knew that he couldn't do anything to them. They wanted revenge. Nothing more. Sasuke began feeling hatred again but he also knew it's not the path he wanted to go through all over again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One day Sasuke was lying against the wooden wall like he always did when he heard a knock on the door to the wooden prison yamato kept him in. In walked a young lady about his age but a little bit younger. 'She must be here to take revenge or something' he thought to himself. She wore a light purple jacket and a plain cream white skirt. She had nothing on her that showed signs of fashion. She was simply simple. She held a bento box in her hand and she smiled warmly at Sasuke with a slight tint of pink on her cheeks. Sasuke didn't know why but he felt comforted by her smile. She was the first vistor ever since he came to this prison who actually looked like she was here because she cared. Her lavender hair could be seen in the dark room and her pale skin softer than anything he knows. Her eyes had no pupils instantly telling those who saw it that she was a hyuga.
She was Hinata hyuga.
Sasuke only looked at her for a few seconds but then when he remembered how the other villagers pretended to be kind to him he immediately pushed the thoughts he had about her being here because she cared to the side . He thought she was probably here to poisen him with her food, using her innocent smile to trick him.
Sasuke felt disgusted by her display and the thought of her to be cruel person for she seemed so innocent and fragile. He wanted nothing more then for her to get out of his sight. People shouldn't act like they care. Because for someone to actually care for someone like him was a big thing. So he didn't like the fact that some people only pretended to care. Sasuke didn't know her at all and he doesn't recall ever seeing her somewhere before. So he had no idea what she wanted with him. The only explanation was that she hated him for some reason and she was here to let all that hatred out.
"Tch..." Sasuke began feeling irritated with her simp!y standing there like a statue as if she'd seen a ghost.
"What do you want?" Sasuke asked coldly without even looking at her. "Umm....H-hellow S-sasuke kun. I-i w-was just here t-to give you t-this b-bento box a-and t-to S-see how y-you were doing." She said stuttering throughout her sentence becoming redder with each word.
Sasuke was surprised by the amount of stuttering in her sentence. He could barely make out what she was saying. He didn't know what to expect next.
She went closer to him and placed the bento box down next to him when she noticed the amount of food around the room. She was happy to know that some of the villagers cared enough to go out of their way and bring him food until she saw a light tint of black on the food. She then immediately realised that the food was poisoned. She felt her heart aching. She would never imagined that people could be so cruel.
"If that's all then I want you to leave." Sasuke said as cold as he could be making Hinata feel a slight bit of fear run down her spine. She nodded quickly and excused herself.
She had only just made it out of the wooden house but she sighed like she was in a life threatening situation and made it out alive. She could sense that Sasuke was being bothered and decided she wouldn't stay long. She felt sorry for Sasuke, it was in her nature to feel pity for people. If she didn't then she wouldn't be Hinata hyuga.
Ever since she heard about how the villagers were treating Sasuke she immediately felt the need to go and visit Sasuke at least once. The elders at the hyuga compound forbid her to go see him but she didn't care. She still went along and made him food to eat. She was prepared to face the consequences by her clan for disobeying them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sasuke stared at the bento box that laid beside him. He was so tempted to open it and see what she had made. But he also felt a tint of distrust inside his heart. Thinking that she probably poisened the food. Without another thought and without knowing why, he opened the bento box and stared at the compounds that were in there. It looked like she put a lot of effort in making it and in truth she did. Sasuke stared at it but then without thinking this time either he threw it against the wall opposite of him. All the contents spilled on the floor and he didn't care. So much hard work gone to waste.

'She should just mind her own business.' He thought to himself as he felt anger boiling inside him, not sure who the anger was aimed at.
