The next time Adam awoke that night he was met with piercing green eyes hovering just over his. When he went to shout a warning he quickly discovered that the sorcerer had muted him. "Shh. The king is ready for battle. Meet him at this place," a note was shoved in his immobile hand, "with your army. If you fail to show, you'll never see your friends again."
When the eyes disappeared the General found his voice and motion again and quickly worked to wake up his troops. Quickly they marched the rest of the way to their destination and received reinforcements in any way they needed.
Adam, wary and worn, looked over the paper the sorcerer had given him then up at the sky. This fight might just be his end, and if he was frank, it sounded so much better than running for much longer.

The sun was slowly starting to rise when the Sky Army General and the Squid King met in the middle of the battle field, each side's eyes narrowed at their enemy while one hand rested on the hilts of their swords. Royalty stared down royalty as the sun began to bring light to the dark world of Minecraftia, hybrids and humans stood behind their kings, prepared for the ultimate clash between land and water.
Evan smirked at the human before him, blue eyes eyeing him with a sense of pride. The king before him was weaker than when he captured his friends and recruits, too skinny to be healthy and very pale. It seemed that fighting this man was almost a joke. The war would be quick, and the victory would be glorious in the mind of the Squid King.
Sky, the much admired king, eyed his enemy down with determination and a new sense of victory. He had made it to this crucial moment with a lot of losses, but now he could win it all back. He could free his friends from the curse of the squid's power, and they'd all leave victorious.
Both of the kings unsheathed their swords and held them up so they made an X in the air before bringing them down into defensive positions, narrowing their eyes in hatred before both took a swing.
War cries from both sides followed the ringing of the clash and the war was on. Fists and tentacles clutching gleaming weapons waved all around in a blur of quarrel.
The Sky Army General grit his teeth at the effort it took for him to push back on the Squid King's blade, his malnourished muscles shaking with strain as Evan gave a deep chuckle.
"Look at how pathetic you've become, Sky. You're so weak you can barely stand without shaking. Let alone run an army," the humanoid sneered tauntingly, going for a quick stab to Adam's side.
Dodging, Adam held his sword up defensively and glared. "You've turned all of my recruits into monsters and left them as you see me. Weak, malnourished, on the verge of death, and all because you want to take over Minecraftia. News flash, Evan. Your little dream of one day taking over the land will never become reality. If you strike us down there will be more like us to stand in your way."
The Squid King only grinned a wide smile of triumph, a fire of passion and fury burning behind his blue eyes as he slashed at Adam's torso. The general cried out at the slash to his chest and crumpled from weakness. "That may be the case," Evan muttered lowly, approaching his enemy after removing his weapon from his range of reach, "But this victory will be the sweetest of all those in the future. Because you will be defeated, Sky, and you will be the example to all who stand in my way."
Adam grit his teeth as he tried to stand, only to let out another cry as a tentacle lashed at his knees and knocked him down. "I'm only so strong, but my army will prevail."
The fallen general fought back a shudder as the cold blade pressed against his neck. "But you're their symbol of hope. Their reason. Without you, they'll have nothing," Evan hissed, and with a swing of his sword Adam's world fell to darkness.
