Alfies pov
I woke up to my alarm and so did Zoe. Liv was still asleep so we decided to cuddle In bed and put the tv on for a bit. We watched ten minutes of the news when liv started crying. Zoe got out of bed first to use the bathroom. She stood up and stretched when I saw something that all soon to be parents would never want to see. Blood. On the back of Zoe's maternity onesie. I pulled the cover back and saw a huge patch of blood. "Um Zoe?" I said panicky. "Yeah" she said turning round. She saw the blood and bust into tears. "What do we do?!" She said panicking a lot. "Just sit here and breathe for a minute whilst I call the hospital" I told her. She perched on the bed and breathed slowly in and out. "Keep doing that." I told her as I went to get my phone and liv. I quickly pulled liv out of her cot and ran downstairs to get my phone. I quickly dialled 999. And told them everything. An ambulance almost instantly arrived and we all got in. We quickly were taken to the hospital and into the maternity ward. Zoe was rushed into an emergency ultrasound and my mum and dad came to pick up liv.

Zoes pov
I was taken to the ultra sound whilst Alf and liv waited outside. Thankfully my parents picked up liv so Alfie was able to get in on time before the ultra sound. Alf held my hand really tight whilst our midwife scanned my belly. We thankfully heard the heartbeat but it was the news that came next that was shocking.

"Okay, so your baby is still alive and ok but if he is not brought into the world in the next hour, it could all change. You will need to be taken in for an emergency c section within the next half an hour. " our midwife told us. A tear rolled down my cheek and alf squeezed my hand. I nodded as the nurse went to get the surgery room ready...
