Chapter 13

I was getting all dressed up, so was my parents who heard about the news and came back from the mission. I put on my black dress my mother gave me, and had my hair all down. Everyone went to the funeral of Lord Hokage. He was infact the one of best man alive, we all have to agree on that.

Everyone cried even me and my mother, Hinata was with her father and now we just had some rebuilding to do. We all left after about 2 hours of crying at his grave and now there was nothing left.

The following day everyone was starting to talk about who will be the new Hokage. As I heard who it was going to be I got up from my seat and smiled.

"Really?! Tsunade-sensei will be the new Hokage!" My parents laughed at my sudden outburst.

"Yeah Jiraiya and Naruto went to go fetch her."

I nodded and sat back down, my father just looked at me and wanted to laugh.

"Pfft, you wanted to go."

"Shut it will you!!" I calmed down and then looked outside.

"Should we get to work now?" They nodded and we went to go help the others.

It took a long time to do so but I didn't mind it at all. We finished in about a week or so nonstop. We were out in groups so one group did the morning duties while the other did the night.

I was finally happy everything went back to normal, but we still needed a Hokage so we could actually go on missions. Many families look happy and sad. Happy because they have there families together and sad because there loosing money. I just wonder how long will it take for them to come.

"Hey (Y/N) look come here." Kiba said.

I followed him and then saw Tenten and Neji talking.

"I see so you sill like (Y/N) am I right."

"Yeah."

"Well ok, I respect your feelings. Go get her."

I ran away and sat on a table about to talk with Hinata. Kiba gave me a thumbs up, I nodded and then I ordered a strawberry ice cream. As we talked about weird things, Neji came and looked a bit nervous.

"Come on Hinata, let's get going. My mom made this super good dessert if you want to come a try it."

"Sure!" She said happily.

"(Y/N) wait." Neji said.

"What is it Neji." I said pretending to be ticked off.

"Could we talk."

"Oh you know I had to help Sakura with something, go ahead." I nodded and went and sat down next to him.

"I'm sorry that I made you cry and all those times I didn't pay any attention to you." I nod my head and kept starring at him as he talked all crazy.

I listened carefully and saw the guy who normally is so cool have trouble speaking.

"What I mean to say is that I like you, no I love you. Please, will you be my girlfriend?" I stared at him in shock. He could even see it in my eyes.

"All those times you made me feel like I wasn't good enough, the times when you just ignored me and now your telling me this?" He looked down and I just smiled slightly, "But even when you did that I still seemed to like you." I said and his eyes widen. He smiled and got up and spinned me around.

I then put my ice cream on his nose and glared at him.

"I am still mad at you from ignoring me." He grabbed a napkin and threw away the ice cream.

"I already gotten beat up by Naruto I think I'm okay." I smiled and my dad came, he such a kid when it comes to things like this.

"So you want my daughter huh? Well you better come and talk to me Hyuga." They both begin to talk while me and mom just laughed. I took pictures of that and I then heard my father say welcome to the family my eyes widen.

"Did he really just say that?" Me and my mother said in unison. We looked at each other and then nodded, our weirdness showing.

"I don't know why but I feel like I'm more like you then papa." She nodded and then we saw them coming and started acting like we were just talking about something.

They noticed our weird behavior and knew we were hearing there conversation. We just laughed awkwardly and did the same poses.

"You see we were just passing and heard the conversation." We said in unison. The guys looked at each other and then shook there heads.

"Well I gotta go, come on Neji!!" I grabbed his hand and begin to run away from my parents. Everyone was there waiting and Naruto was counting and they blew the balloons an yelled out congratulations, these friends of mine are weird.

We all hanged out and begin to talk girl things whenever us girls and the boys separated.

"Now tell me how you did it?" Sakura asked.

"Did what?" I asked her.

"Date your best friend, of course you had to do something."

"Hmm.. I guess I was just myself and wasn't fangirling." She laughed awkwardly and then took the advice. We all went shopping and as we got out I saw the one and only Tsunade.

"Tsunade-sensei!!" I yelled out, she looked at me run towards her and went to go hug her as she just spin me around.

"Have you stopped eating, your as light as a feather she said."

"Seriously not this again!" She begin to pretend to be lecturing me, and just hugged me as hard as she can. My parents went up to me, and I begin to balance my breath.

Everybody started to cheer and happy to have a new Hokage. She went to go see everything, and didn't see impressed. I sighed, I think I know what she wants. I went with the girls and we went to go eat something and saw all the others there. We girls pretended not to see them and walked right in.

We sat at a table in the other corner and started to show each other what we bought. We all complimented what we got and our food came. As we shared stories I showed them all the pictures I have been taking and they all seemed to like it.

I was so excited to actually have them like it and soon the guys came and we acted all surprise. I looked at Sakura who just smiled and said hi to the others and Sasuke was last. That surprised them and I looked at Hinata, she gathered all of her courage and just had a nice posture and looked at Naruto.

"Hi Naruto." She said smiling, and looked at me mouthing oh my gosh.

"Hey you guys, want to come and join us?"

"Sure." They said. We all laughed and smiled, we did the usual really. Tenten is now dating Lee, which is weird because we didn't see that coming. As we just hung out, Neji just hugged me and everybody awed.

I blushed while he had a small smile on his face. We talked about weird things and soon a ANBU popped out, I got scared as he called me. I went out and we ended up going to the Hokage Building. Shikamaru was there to, I asked what was going on and he just shrugged.

"From the note the Third said and everything the jounin and sensei's have been saying about the Chunin exams, we are all happy to nominate you two as the new chunin in Konoha." My eyes grew and we were given the uniform showing that we are now chunin.

"Congratulations you two." We bowed down and said in unison.

"Thank you Lady Tsunade."

We were forced by our sensei's to wear the vest or for Shikamaru was really everything. To the pants shirt and vest. I went to my house in a flash then put something different on and raised outside and into the restaurant.

Lucky for me everyone was there. I walked in and everyone gasped.

"Oh my gosh, your a chunin!!" Sakura said. I nod my head and they all came to congratulate us, Shikamaru walked in everyone as well congratulated him.

It was nice to see everyone all happy and getting all annoying, I wonder what might happen in a couple of days?
