Chapter 2

Chapter 2: The Adventure on the Underworld

“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

Tying the laces on his Ferregamo Winged shoes, Hermes stopped and focused on what we are asking at him. He shook his head, not once but thrice, emphasizing that he can’t help us on what we wanted to achieve. 

“Sorry, Sister. I don’t have some information about your long lost mother” He said, avoiding an eye contact. I held his shoulders and looked at his eyes firmly. I sniffed and started to ask him again. 

“Come on, Brother. I badly need your help” I pleaded.

Antropos and Jinn puppy eyed also to Hermes.

“Awwwwwwww....” Hermes said, putting his palms together. “Well. Hera is really powerful; I should warn you with that. If she ever knew that you are after to your mother, she will surely your greatest villain in here. Just make sure that she will not know about this.” He said seriously on us.

We nodded at him and started to listen to his instructions.

“Ahem.” Hermes started. “Well. Don’t be shock... I once met Europa and she’s really pretty. Actually, she looks like you, Fortuna. She is in medium height, got black eyes and black hair, also with angelic face and red as apple lips like you. Oh my! She’s just like you!”

“Ooooh. I can’t wait to see her” Jinn whispered to himself but seems I overheared it. Antropos poked me but I ignored both of them and continued listening. 

“Like my mother, Europa was killed by Hera” he continued and silence began to conquer the room. My eyes widen on what I just heard.

“D-dead?” My words were flat. 

“Dead. Yeah. But, Atleast she didn’t turn into hideous creatures like other god’s mothers” Hermes laughed boisterously afterwards. I saw Antropos and Jinn beside me, laughing also. So, I pretended again to be alright too. “Yeah, Dead Mother” 

“No, don’t worry. If you wanted, you should go to underworld to ask our uncle, Hades, on where the soul of your mother is residing today. Well, that’s the only thing I knew” he said, opening the big window of his room.

“Oh! Wait! In the underworld?” Antropos asked.

“In Palace of Versailles, there is Uncle Hades and Aunt Persephone. If you mind, I’m going to take off. Just closed the door of my room, kay?” Hermes said as he jumped on the window. “Farewell!!!!” And his Ferregamo winged shoes made him fly on the highest peek of the hotel.

“So, from U.K, we should go to France to be in there” Jinn sighed. “This will be a long journey”  

After we left Hermes’ room, we quickly go to the 9th floor, where my father’s suite is located because we have this idea to seek a help from him. But, when we are about to knock on his room, we saw Hera smirking on us.

“Hi, Mom” I tremendously greeted.

Hera raised an eyebrow and bumped us as she twisted the knocker of my father’s room.  “Go away, kids. You shouldn’t be in the god’s place. Anyway, you’re just “demi” gods. Nothing so special” she arrogantly said to us, flipping her hair away. 

No one dared to reply. But, we just tilted our head and waited her to go inside of my father’s room. 

“Ohhhh! Stupid !” Antropos cried out.

On the corner of the corridor, Perseus goes in front of us and smiled. “Oh! That Hera. She’s really pissing me off” he said to us. The blonde demi-god pats my head afterwards. “Hi, Sister” 

“Hey, Sup? How’s the head of Medusa?” I teased him. Probably, Perseus is my sweetest brother on all. He usually helped me on projects because he is really creative.

“Speaking of Medusa’s head, it’s still on freezer. Oh! I have to go, I have to visit Pegasus, okay?” he said hastily to us. Then, Jinn entered on our conversation.

“Excuse me! I think we should borrow Pegasus for awhile” he said, his beautiful eyes sparkling.

“For what?” he asked.

And we told him all about my mother.

As we landed in front of the Versailles Palace, we saw Aunt Persephone from afar, waving her hands to us. We thanked Pegasus first and go near to Aunt Persephone.

“Aunt! How did you know we’re coming?” I asked her.

“Hermes told us as he pass on our Palace” she said, gathering the dead roses on the floor. “Oh! You should visit the palace. I know that my husband can help you on that” 

Inside the underworld, we saw party people inside. We are just like on a disco bar. Many party “soul” greeted us as we passed on them. 

“Oh! That is Fortuna, the goddess of good luck!”

“Oooooooohhh! Pretty, just like her mom. Hey, please say “hi” to your father, Zeus for me!” the black haired soul said to me.

I just nodded at them, smiling weakly.

“That That! That is Antropos, one of Moerae sisters! You know what? I am Lachesis’ ex boyfriend! Hahaha” The soul with beard told us.

“Apollo! Is that Apollo, the great god?!” said another soul.

“No, that’s his son, Jinn!” replied by the soul with curly hair.

“We have big personality visitors today! Give respect to them” a huge voice shouted and echoed all over the room. The party music stopped as the voice continued. 

“Welcome to the underworld!” the huge voice continued. And, from the above of the disco room, there is Hades, wearing hip hop dress with big bling bling letter “h” hanging on his neck. “Yo! What’s up, Demi people?!”

The three of us laughed. Persephone also, who is already on her hip hop clothes. “Yeah, we’re hiphopers” she told us. 

“So, you were asking for beautiful Europa’s soul?” Hades said to us. “Sorry, she’s already gone. Hera commanded for her soul to be in the Island of Lemnos.”

“Lemnos, the island of all-men” Jinn said. 

“Yes. That’s it. The men right there, on past time, is going to be gays. That’s why, Hera prevented it by sending Europa on there” Hades explained.

“That slut, Hera!” Antropos shouted.

Behind Hades, a pale brunnet-haired lady appeared. 

“Hera?” she said, bitting her lip.

The lady goes in front of me and knelt. “Please take me with you, goddess Fortuna. I am willing to help you on your journey.”

I looked at her firmly and nodded. Hades and Persephone pats the lady’s head and their gazes striked our’s. “I will let you borrow her soul, but, just for 2 days” 

“Yes. Thank you!” we said to them happily.

“Lamia, help them to find Europa and.... you are willing to take your revenge” Persephone told to the pale girl.
