Chapter 4: The River of Promise

          “Fortuna! Fortuna!” an unknown voice said.

          As I gain my sight, I saw Eros and Antropos shaking me. I stood up on where I am lying on and started to be confused. I tried to recall what happen on the Island of Lemnos and remembered the bloody Jinn.

          “Jinnnn!” I cried out. “Where is he?!”

          “He is back to the hotel” Eros said to me as he cleans my wound. Eros is the god of love. Aphrodite’s son to an unknown man. I am so confuse why a lesser god is in here, cleaning my wound. And Jinn, disappeared and already in the hotel.

          “Wait wait!” I told him, staying away with them. “What happened?! Antropos, where is Lamia? Why are you here, Eros? And...and.... Jinn, why is he in Mt. Olympus?! UK is far in Prague. What happened?!”

          “Because of your awaken powers” Eros sighed.

          “Awaken what?!” I shook my head.

          “You have the powers to shake the Earth. You can be the destroyer! That’s why, the gods gets alarmed on what you have done and successfully traced where you are. Now, the gods there are in rage” Eros explained.

          “Why? Why in rage?! I am so confused” I cried out. Antropos hugged me tightly.

          “Don’t worry. Hera will not know where you are. I brought you in other place so she can’t track you. And also, Hera is busy fighting my mother” he started.

          “The goddess of love but, why?” Antropos asked.

          “The men should be really gay that time because they refuse to praise my mother. So, as a punishment, they should be gays forever. But Hera disapproved and made a silent move to hinder my mother’s plan. That is why she sent Europa there. But, actually, my mom didn’t know about that. Just now. So, she sent me to help you guys where Europa is. And also, to have a witness on a trial to Hera”

          “I got it. Hera had an affair on one of them but no witness. Just my mother.” I said, finally getting Eros.  “How about, Jinn? How was he?” I asked.

          “The men of Lemnos have the power to hallucinate women with their kiss. Of course, Jinn is a man so no effect on him. The men tried to kill you because when they saw you, who is exactly looked like your mother, they got alarm because they knew that Europa knows the secret between Hera and Lemnos. Lemnos guys tried to kill Europa too but she managed to run away. Oh! Don’t worry to Jinn, he is safe with her aunt, Artemis. Thanks to your powers, you are all safe. Actually, half of the Prague destroyed just because of you” Eros said, pinching my nose.

          “Where is Lamia?” I asked.

          “Getting water somewhere” Antropos said.

          “Oh! Antropos? You didn’t say that you are Antropos earlier!” Eros said, clasping his hands together.

          “Yeah?!” she said.

          “I am midnigher09 on facebook! You are antropos_prettygirl, right?” Eros said, his eyes turning in heart shape.

          “Oh Oh! Middyy! My loveeeeee!” she cried out, hugging Eros.

          “My love, it’s just like my own arrows strikes me when I saw you” he said, hugging her back.

          I just gave them my straight smile. After a while, Lamia got back, sniffing.

          “Guys! Look what I found out!” Lamia shouted. We followed her and realized that we are in Venice, Italy. Then, on the Grand Canal, we saw a river with its water shining. “This is the River of Styx” Lamia said, smiling.

          “The River of Promise!” Antropos, Eros and I said together in shock.

          “Yes! Here, meet my friend, Alpheus, the river god as well as the nymph, Styx’ son.” Lamia told us.

          Then, a hand comes out on the magnificent river and Alpheus, with Styx, comes out on the water.

          “So, you are Fortuna, the godess of good luck and the prophetized destroyer of the world” Styx started, with her low tone voice. “Like you, I hated Hera so much by making me the guardian on this forever. Well.. I am also a lover of Zeus and here, Alpheus, is my son. Oh! That is why we are stuck in here forever!” Styx started, showing her other side.

          Alpheus gave a soft laugh on his mother, showing his chubby cheeks. Lamia produced an “awww” sounds and drooled on Alpheus face. “He is the handsomest of all the handsome” she whispered. Alpheus seems to notice her and blushed.

          “Ah Ahem! What my mother’s point is we wanted to take revenge to Hera too” Alpheus said.

          “So, Europa is the key to revenge” Styx said as she goes closer to us. Then, when she reached us, she transforms with a girl in diva suit, also, with a cut on her gown showing her red stilleco shoes.

          “Stilleco!” Antopos said, falling on Eros arms.

          “Dont worry, my baby, I’ll steal my mother’s credit card for you to have that too” Eros replied.

          “Oh! Stillecco. Heeh. It’s just sale when I bought that in mall. Hohoho~” Styx laughed. “Anyway, As far as I remembered, Europa visited here last last last year, I think?”

          “Really?!” I asked.

          “Yes. And she wished to us for your safety and so, she promised that she will come back for you. Aww. How good mom is she. Though, it is impossible for her to see you because you are with that “mighty” Hera, she still wishes for your safety” Styx explained.

          I bowed my head and cried. “My mother! I will see you soon, I know!”

          “Alpheus, I wanted you to accompany them in Castillio de Loarre, where Phrygia is located today and I know King Midas, the gold king, is right there and will surely be a great help to your adventure.”

          Alpheus nodded to his mother and smiled widely to the drooling Lamia. Suddenly, a man with aviator shades, who is watching at them since the beginning, disappeared behind the tree on where he is hiding.
