When Jennipher awoke, it was nearly five in the morning. She got up and got ready for the day. When she got to the Great Hall she sat down next to Alexander. He was the only other student awake at this time. They always woke up early to spend the morning together. He handed her her schedule. She sighed as she looked at it, knowing he had to go to their head of house to get them early. She was taking as many classes as she could, but unfortunately she was limited by the school. She was taking Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Arithmancy, Alchemy, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Herbology, Ancient Studies, Art, Music, Charms, and Study of Ancient Ruins. She was able to take so many classes because she had already learned everything she needed to know about her core classes. Alexander was taking Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Arithmancy, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, and History of Magic. They had made sure to get as many of Draco's classes as they could without looking like stalkers. Unfortunately, with them being advanced they had to repeat some classes. They sat there quietly, enjoying each other's company and the silence.
It was nearly two later that the silence was broken by their school mates coming for breakfast. Most of them looked shocked to see them up so early, but some ignored them. They were from a different country after all. Harry Potter was one of the people to ignore them. 'He must be used to it by now. He is the so called chosen one' Jennipher thought to herself. Draco Malfoy sat down and yawned. Neither of the siblings bothered saying good morning to him, because they had lived with him long enough to know he needed breakfast before replying. When Pug-Faced Parkinson came to the Great Hall she would be mad. Draco had sat next to Jennipher, although Alex had no one sitting by him. This was also, Jenna could tell, why Alex was failing at trying really hard not to glare at Draco. After Alex and Jenna finished their breakfast they got up and left the Great Hall. A lot of kids openly stared at them and whispered about them. Jenna knew they were well known because they started school early and their fellow Beauxbaton students loved to brag about them. While Jenna ignored the people, Alex smiled and waved at some of them. "You could very well be a Hufflepuff. Are you sure the sorting hat didn't make a mistake?" Jenna whispers at him coldly. He looks taken aback for a second before smiling at her. "Well sorry I am trying to seem friendly and not sinister, Jen." He whispers back teasingly before propelling her on their way. She giggles. "I'm not even being sinister yet Lex." She says straight-faced, while shrugging his hand off. They decide to go to their first classes early.
Later the two of them met up with Draco at Defense Against the Dark Arts. Jennipher saw a girl from Ancient Ruins. Hermia Graham or something unusual like that.
The classroom door opened and Professor Snape stepped into the corridor, his sallow face framed as ever by two curtains of greasy black hair. Silence fell over the queue immediately.
"Inside," he said.
Everyone looked around as they entered. Professor Snape had imposed his personality upon the room already; it was more somber than usual, as curtains had been drawn over the windows, and was lit by candlelight. Pictures adorned the walls, many of them showing people who appeared to be in pain, sporting grisly injuries or strangely contorted body parts. Nobody spoke as they settled down, looking around at the shadowy, repugnant pictures."I have not asked you to take out your books," said Professor Snape, closing the door and moving to face the class from behind his desk; Hermione Granger hastily dropped her copy of Confronting the Faceless back into her bag and stowed it under her chair. "I wish to speak to you, and I want your fullest attention."
His black eyes roved over their upturned faces, lingering for a fraction of a second longer on Harry's than anyone else's.
"You have had five teachers in this subject so far, I believe."
"Naturally, these teachers will all have had their own methods and priorities. Given this confusion I am surprised so many of you scraped an O.W.L. in this subject. I shall be even more surprised if all of you manage to keep up with the N.E.W.T. work, which will be more advanced."
