When you surface again, you see eridan propped up on his bandaged arm. "Hey ____. Good news." You fly up. "What?"
"Mituna's alive."
You run to his bed. The little heart thingy is going again. "Mituna!" You nudge him. "Hey ___". He gives you a cute little smile. It's too good to be true. "How are you still alive?" I asked. "W-well the doctors said something about a strong will to li-" he's cut off by you pressing your lips against his. You pull away to see sollux and eridan watching you. Eridan quickly looks away and blushes. Sollux just rolls his eyes.
For the next week we have to stay in the hospital, we talk. Accroding to the doctor, Psii almost had a natural personality transplant. He's allowed to come in and talk to everyone, watched carefully. You guess he's mentally unstable. He's still somewhat of a capital A-Asswaffle, but he's lightened up a little, being more friendly to everyone. Even though Psii doesn't show it, he's devastated over sollux, who seems to have taken Psii's asshole personality. He never tries to talk to us, and just mutters to himself.
It's really sad to see him like that, especially since he used to be so kind and open minded. I miss him everyday, but it's nice to fill that empty feeling if heartbreak with Mituna, who is so cute and loves to snuggle. The doctors think it's a method of rehab or something, so they don't really mind us.
