You groan as the world comes into focus. Everything hurts. There are bandages up and down the sides of your body, spattered with blood. A couple scratches line your face. You remember that's where Mituna dived in front of you.
Mituna! Sollux! You sit up quickly, but regret it. The sharp pains in your side are like them stabbing into you again. Someone coughs beside you. "M-Mituna?" You call weakly. One of the beams must have punctured your throat, making it extremely hard to talk. A hand bats the curtains, finally opening them. It's Eridan. "Oh hey, ___." He lays back down, careful not to move his casted arm.
"Where's everyone else?"
"I heard one of the doctors sayin Psii is still in surgery, and sol took a huge bloww to the head."

Did you hear anything about Mituna?"

You sit up quickly and look around. There are 2 beds in the corner. Sollux lays in one, his head wrapped tightly in a bloody bandage. In the other, Mituna, his pale chest covered In bandages. You run over to sollux. "Sollux?" You call gently. His eyes flutter open. "Ii2...ii2 that my name?" He shoots you a confused look. "Sollux..? Do you remember anything?" You feel tears well up in your eyes. "No..." He rolls his eyes. "Who the fuck are you?" Tears run down your face. "I-I'm ___, your matesprit..." Your voice breaks on matesprit. "You?" He asks.
You can't take it anymore. You run back to your bed, ignoring the searing pain in your sides, flop down on the bed face first and cry.
