Kristen: You're coming to class, right?

Sia: Yeah, I guess I have to. Don't want to get detention. I also plan on apologising to Matt.

Kristen: That's great! I hope it goes well. Especially since we have Professor Williams' class after Matt's. That dude is boring.

Sia: Tell me about it. Let's go, I'm not hungry anyway.

Kristen: Alright. Have you seen Chris lately? It seems like he rather disappeared.

Sia: Yeah, it's weird. We haven't talked in a while.

Kristen: I bet he's hanging out with Clara. She actually said yes! (frowns)

Sia: (laughs)

They continue their conversation on their way to class.

Kristen: I thought you guys made up?

Sia We did. Anyway, enough about Chris. Did you plan your next date yet?

Kristen: No, I haven't talked to Ryan yet.

Sia: Are you a thing now?

Kristen: Ugh, I don't even know!

Classroom

Sia notices Chris and starts walking towards him.

Sia: Dude, where have you been? I haven't talked to you in like...a week or something.

Chris: Hello to you too. I spent that week with my parents back home and with Clara. (smiles)

Sia: Oh, you never told me you were going home. How is it going with her? (winks)

Chris: Apparently, you were so busy hanging out with your ex. Clara and I are good friends. I told Kristen she said yes but we're actually just hanging out.

Sia: Alex and I are friends. Don't worry, I won't tell Kristen.

Chris: Firstly, I don't care if you're dating or just hanging out as friends. I want you to be careful. And to always remember you have only one guy best friend, and that is me. Do you understand?

Sia: (grins) Yes, sir. (Pulls him into a hug) So, tell me, how was it with your parents?

Chris: Pretty boring actually, my little brother is annoying as hell. (Finds a seat)

Sia: (sits next to him) You never told me you have a younger brother!

Chris: He's not much to mention, honestly. (Sighs) He's a devil.

Sia: Well, he sounds cute!

Chris: How did you find that cute?

Sia: (grins)

Chris: (rolls eyes) girls.

Matt: (enters the classroom) Morning, everyone.
It's only one month to the exams, so you people need to focus on your studies more than anything else right now. We're almost done with the syllabus and I'll be going through everything with you. And if you need anything, feel free to ask me.

(Starts writing on the white board)

Chris: (looks at Sia's notes and starts copying them)

Sia: I'm copying what he's writing, you know.

Chris: I know. My eyes are hurting. I can't see well.

Sia: Oh okay. (Moves her hand slightly so he can see more clearly)

40 minutes later

(Bell rings)

Chris: I'm going to meet with Ryan in our room. We'll study a little.

Sia: Okay, see you.
(Waits until Chris leaves then goes to Kristen)
I'll apologise now.

Kristen: Good luck. I'll leave you guys alone.

Sia: (nods and starts walking towards Matt)

Matt: (looks at her as he arranges his desk) Yes?

Sia: (clears throat) Can I talk to you?

Matt: Sure. (Stops what he's doing)

Sia: Look, I'm really sorry it went bad. I never intended for this to happen. It was all just so confusing, and I didn't know whether to tell you or not. I didn't even get to think! And I want you to know that I never kissed Chris back.

(Silence for a few moments)

Matt: (takes a deep breath) Sia...I don't know what to say. I've been thinking about this over and over. And I really think I wasn't being fair to you. I should have never believed it. I could've at least gave you time to explain yourself.

Sia: Speaking of that, can you tell me who told you about the...um...kiss?

Matt: It was your friend Alex. Look, I'm sorry I doubted you and I hope -

Sia: Alex? Alex told you? Of course he did! How could I be so stupid? And of course he told you I kissed Chris back.

Matt: I bumped into him and when I found out he was your ex, I kind of felt jealous so I asked him to talk to me. We were talking about you when he mentioned the kiss. He said he was sorry and that he didn't know I was your boyfriend then he quickly left.

Sia: (sighs) Are we good? Friends, right?

Matt: Of course we are. (Hesitates a little before pulling her into a hug)

Sia: (smiles to herself) I'll see you around.

Matt: Okay, sure.

Sia walks out of the classroom and heads angrily to Alex's room.

Sia: (knocks)

Alex: Hey, Sia!

Sia: You are a liar! I hate you!

Alex: What are you talking about? I didn't do anything.

Sia: It was you who told Matt about that stupid kiss, wasn't it?

Alex: (stares blankly at her)

Sia: So, it's true! And here I am, thinking you've actually turned into a more decent person!

Alex: Sia, I...please let me explain.

Sia: No! Here's what Alex: I never want to see your face again, okay? (Turns around and walks away, slamming the door angrily behind her)

Sia's room

Sia: (enters the room)

Kristen: Took you long enough.

Sia: (starts crying)

Kristen: (walks towards her and hugs her) What happened?

Sia: (sits on bed and slowly starts to tell Kristen what's happened)
