Two weeks passed, and Sia was too caught up in her studies to think about anything else. She hadn't even been able to practise salsa dancing with Matt again. Also, she had been avoiding Alex and gladly, he didn't try to bother her. Kristen, on the other hand, has been going out with Ryan more often. They studied together so, hopefully, their grades will not be affected. However, Sia caught a flu and missed a couple of classes, which she was worried about since exams are close now. She was now sitting in her room when someone knocked on the door. She knew Kristen was out with Ryan, so that cannot be her.

"Door is opened."

Matt slowly entered the room and frowned at the sight of Sia.

"Are you okay? You don't look good."

"Just a - sneezes - flu..."

"Oh..."

"Why are you here?" She asked

"Um...you skipped classes so I was worried."

"Aww that's sweet. Actually, Matt, I don't know -sneezes- what I'm going to do."

"I can help you, you know."

"But, how? I'm a mess."

He went silent for a few seconds, "Did you see a doctor?" He said

Either it was the guilty look on her face or Matt knew her too well because he said,
"Sia, that's a big risk! We need to get you to a doctor. And you have to take your medication and eat healthily. I'll help you study (insert subject here) and Chris can help you with the rest."

He looked like he was about to give her more instructions, but she cut him off as she laughed and rolled her eyes, "You sound like my mum."

"I'm pretty sure she's a great woman, for she gave birth to you." He smirked as he saw a blush creep to Sia's cheeks.

They have been good friends now, but Matt could not help but flirt with her every once in a while, though they both knew he was just joking.

"Just put some heavy clothes on and let's go to the doctor. I'll wait outside."

"But why can't we just go to the doctor next to the principal's office."

"Oh, she left early today." He said as he got up, "There's a clinic that shouldn't be too far from here

Sia nodded as she, as well, got up to wear something. She found herself blushing as she tried to find something, both heavy and charming, to wear.

It was not too much after that when she closed the door behind her and smiled at the sight of Matt waiting for her in a nearby chair. She walked to him and smiled again as he noticed her.

"Took you long enough." He teased her

"You know, it's not advisable to tease someone that is ill. I might just faint." She said as she acted as if she was about to faint.

He laughed and they both continued to walk.

When they had arrived at the clinic, the doctor said it was normal for Sia to catch a cold since the weather was bad. He advised her to take her medications regularly - at which Matt gave a triumphant look to Sia.

They were on their way back when it started raining. If it was not for the street lamps, it would have been completely dark that everyone would stop dead till they find light to guide them home. Sia got lost in her thoughts as she attempted - and failed - to wipe her glasses.

"I think we should go to a café or something. Maybe have a hit drink till the rain stops." Matt suggested, and Sia nodded as she tucked her glasses in her bag.

They entered a nearby café.

"Are you okay?" He said, for the thousandth time today, except he did not mean it physically this time.

"Huh? Yeah, just some thoughts lurking around." She smiled

Matt nodded, "What would you like to drink?"

"Maybe hot chocolate."

He ordered the drinks and turned back to Sia.

They were deep is conversation when Sia noticed that it was almost midnight.

"I think we should go back."

Matt looked at his watch, smiled and nodded as he gestured for the waiter to bring the check. He looked outside and said, 'The rain stopped."

"Yeah, that was ages ago." Sia grinned

Matt paid for their drinks then got up, followed by Sia. They both went out and started their way towards campus.

"You know, Matt, I'm glad I met you, really." Sia said after a couple of minutes

"Me too." He smiled

Soon, they were standing at the gates to campus.
Sia showed her university card to the security card and they were soon heading to the dorms.

If you had seen them standing in the doorway, you would have said they were about to kiss, but Sia knew better. She hesitated a little before pulling Matt into a hug. He welcomed her and as he ran his hand on her hair gently. It was a moment to cherish, and Sia felt as if she could stay like that forever. When they pulled back, she could have sworn that Matt was blushing, but she pushed the thought away. They were just friends, after all.

"Good night." He said as Sia waved at him and slowly closed the door.

"I thought you were ill." A voice said behind Sia

Of course, how could she fool herself into thinking Kristen was not going to ask questions? Best friends always ask questions.

"I was in a clinic. Nothing too fancy about it." She said as she tried to keep her cool.

Kristen looked at her suspiciously, but she seemed to buy it - which secretly satisfied Sia - because she was tugging herself in her blanket.

"Sleep tight." She said

However, Sia could not sleep that night; she had a lot on her mind. However, her physical exhaustion overcame her conscious mind, and she was soon deep in sleep.
