Their Time

Her mate held her hand as they returned to the dark kingdom. He was still sore and the long ride back had not helped matters. Their small cottage house suddenly seemed large compared to Allahie's old quarters in her home village.

"I'm going to lay down," Aleksandar groaned and he flopped down on the couch. The couch that could actually seat him and her, and then another person.

"Despite my mother having the children for the afternoon, I might go spy on her..." Allahie mumbled. She didn't like their twins far from her. Lackrin, she didn't mind to much about...even her mate had semi let the baby go. After all his father, Kennith, was far to caring over him. He let the world around him go to hell just to make his son smile. The once great warrior was now a stumbling, bumbling, over-protective parent.

"Allllaaahiieee," Alek whined shifting to be lying on his back. While he had two weeks to recover--they not leaving right away until some upgrades to Allahie's cottage were done, and then taking a long carriage ride--he was still off his game by far.

"Darling what?" Allahie questioned studying his golden eyes. They clearly read he wanted to be the one babied all day, as normally she didn't dote over him much since one of the twins were always fussy.

She flopped down beside him and he shifted to put his head on her lap, "Hawlor gone too?"

"Yes, darling." Allahie laughed rubbing his flabby stomach. He had only gotten fatter--even some of the muscles in his chest and legs were fading.

"I'll train tomorrow, with the soldiers." He grunted poking at his chubby stomach. "I have some weight to lose."

"It's a nice pillow though."

"And I am now a king," he responded rolling his eyes. "I do not have a flabby stomach."

"You've been off your game lately darling," Allahie responded leaning down to kiss and bite his nose. "Even when you looked like you ate a few watermelons, you still were looking for adventure." She purposely ran her hand between his legs.

His eyes narrowed and he huffed, "I am sore. I do not want to. Besides, that fucking hole is still there. It's just as bad as my tummy."

Allahie rubbed him, "That doesn't seem to be the case darling." Despite him clenching his jaw and glaring at her he still groaned.

"No, Allahie." He spit, and then he sat up. He looked at her with pleading eyes, "I want to make you happy, and I am not happy. I am not in shape, my stomach is flabby, my thighs are thunderous, and I am still out of sorts."

Allahie pursed her lips but nodded. He gave her a wicked sneer though and pushed her to her back, "I can still entice you though, honey, it has been a long time since I've had desert."

Allahie agreed easily. While it was not what she wanted, waiting would only make it better when it finally happened. Besides this was not a bad alternative either.

Despite his plans she had ended up convincing him to do everything. Even though part of the time his face had a slight pinch of pain he certainly lost and stamina or speed--he had also over exaggerated the hole. His wings of darkness were now outstretched and she was using them as a blanket, while he just napped naked on his stomach.

There was no knock on the door, Kennith just walked in. Her mate awoke once and roared in fury as he pulled Allahie close and completely wrapped her up in his wings. His roar had to be close to what Tetra could do in werebear form. He made Lackrin start crying, but Kennith immediately scuttled out with his son.

After the smaller dark lord was gone Alek let her go and she dressed. He just snapped on his cloths and used his magic to send a message to the other dark lord.

Kennith came back, "Look whose back in the saddle," he jeered wiping at something on his son's face. Despite the golden eyes, Lackrin looked exactly like Kennith minus the scar and with super pudgy features. "How'd the ride you, the pudge slow you down?"

Holding his son or not Allahie decked him so hard in the jaw she heard a crack. She then snarled viciously and stood in front of her mate protectively. Alek sneered, "I thought well."

Kennith winced as he used his magic to heal himself and then calm his tearing up child, "I came because Rath would like to have a big dinner tonight. I also want permission to have Ana watch my child so he learns to get along with his siblings."

"Fine, and fine. Make sure he's very careful around Issy. Do not let him grab at her, especially with that raw magic of his." Alek stated sternly talking about their daughter Isabella. She was not as petite anymore but compared to her brothers she was tiny. She also had the most powerful magic, and upsetting her could result in a rippling wave of her magic that took a lot to calm and or fix.

"So whatcha waiting for let's get going...unless your to tired after your ride?" Kennith teleported away with his son before Allahie could break more than just his jaw this time.

"The nerve of that man," Allahie snarled. "You were perfect. Never missed a beat."

"Thanks honey," Alek responded rolling his eyes and taking her hand, "I suppose a shower after dinner would suit nicely...I can become a nice chair for you...or the wall is rather comfortable too."

"Darling!" Allahie laughed, but she didn't discourage him. It was the most Alek like behavior she had seen of him since he had their children.

Authors Note!

Oh my gosh! I've been terribly sick to a point I couldn't get out of bed. I've missed my first day's at work, a prom with a very great friend whose now very mad at me, and  a few reunions! My apologizes for the late update, I've simply been not able to sit at a computer without destroying it. I hope you like the chapter, and I'll add just another few-- maximum of fifteen-- before I fully dedicate my time to then the Greeting of Kings. Which I am completely open to suggestions for! I am borderline on ideas.

Thanks!

Lyra :)
