The picture above is how I imagine Jake, but you can imagine him however you want

The rest of the classes leading up to lunch went along pretty smoothly. Daren however showed up in every class that Clair was in. He stared at her with the same, yellow focused eyes, and the same creepy smile. It bothered her, but she decided to tell Jake about it later. Jake was one of her father's army friends. He was always there for Clair, and he always told her if a guy made her uncomfortable to talk to him immediately. Jake was around the same age as Aunt Abby, late twenties early thirties. He was as tough as you could get, yet at the same time as kind and caring.

Clair was thankful for her lunch break, it was the only time she got to chill out, and Lucy and Allen always ate with her. Plus, the way that Sebastian had been acting was more than enough to weird her out. They weren't in all the same classes, but after everyone, there he was, waiting and watching her. Sebastian's eyes studied her every move, but nothing was compared to the way he stared at Daren. The two had an instant connection.

They both seemed to know something about each other, something dark. Clair thought she must be going crazy. She sat down at their usual table, Allen and Lucy weren't there yet, so Clair said a short prayer before she dug into her cheese burger.

"My, my what do we have here."

Clair stopped mid bite, that voice, she knew it anywhere. The man sat in front of her only confirming her guess.

"Hello Mr. Daren, how can I help you?" Clair said as she placed the burger back on its plate, trying to be polite.

Daren let out a menacing chuckle. It started out as a little mumble but then ended in a disturbing laugh. Clair didn't know what to do. She just stared at him, unsure of what to do.

"um...." She stuttered.

"Please excuse my manners, I just think it's interesting how you called me Mr." He moved his face closer to her.

"Um.." Clair backed away slightly. "Well what do you prefer I call you?" She had a very uneasy feeling about this man.

Daren gazed over her structure, then his eyes met hers once again. Allen where are you? She begged in her head. What was this creeps deal? Why was he behaving like this? Daren leaned across the table directly in front of Clair's face. She reached for her pepper spray, readying it for the worst.

"If you would excuse me, but that is where I usually sit." Clair never thought she would be so thankful to hear Sebastian's voice.

Daren looked shocked, yet almost pleased. Sebastian stood tall, and proud, yet his eyes were furious with rage.

"Well, I meant no offense." Daren laughed out.

Sebastian just glared at him. The two never broke eye contact.

"Oooo two cute guys fighting over you, why am I never this lucky." Lucy said as she plopped down next to Clair.

Clair felt her face turn beat red. How could Lucy say such a thing.

"Well hello guys, do you mind if I sit here as well." Allen said as he sat next to Daren.

Allen seemed so calm, he said a prayer then slowly and happily ate his lunch without thinking of the earlier instance. They all sat in silence and eventually Lucy left stating that it was way too awkward for her. The rest of the day was much like the first half. Sebastian never left her side, in fact he even stopped her by her locker before her last class.
