"Mommy!" Sophia called.
"Yes?"
I was doing my "homework" from my job before everybody got here.
"When is Jade and Destiny coming?"
"In five or ten minutes."
She runs off, or rather skips.
I hear a knock on the door, less than five minutes later.
When I open it, Hazel and Piper are both standing there.
"Thank you again for babysitting so Jason and I can have a night out!" Piper tells me.
"Yeah, I'll watch your three sometime," Hazel laughs.
Hazel gives me Destiny, then leaves. She has reservations in an hour and still has to get ready.
Piper tells Jade to go play.
"Can I tell you something?" she asks.
"Sure," I tell her, and she motions to the kitchen.
The second we walk in there, she starts talking.
"I'm pregnant again!" she says.
"Wow!"
"That's why I wanted to go on a date with Jason. He doesn't know yet and I wanted to tell him alone."
"That's great!" I say and hug her.
She looks at the clock.
"Oh! I have to go, I'm sorry."
"It's fine. Bye!" I tell her.
I figure it's time to start dinner.
"Sophia! Jade! Charles! Luke!" I shout.
They all run in, screaming.
Destiny starts crying. I pick her up and give her a bottle.
At the same time, I put the dinner on the table for the kids.
This would be an ordinary night once I had the baby.
Great.
