'there's no place like home'
-
"So Andy, who's your friend" Rye said to his best friend looking at Ava who was putting on her shoes,
"You remember Ava, the girl who I told you about?"
Rye nodded.
"Well that's her."
Ava stood up and stood next to willow. Willow whispered something in her friends ear and Ava laughed.
Andy looked at her and saw her laughing. He smiled as he saw that his best friend was happy but inside he wished that he could be the one to make her happy.
"We're gonna make our way home" Ava said to Andy.
He nodded. The girls left and Andy sighed.
"Come on. Let's go home" Rye said putting a hand on his friends shoulder.
-
Ava stared out of her bedroom window and saw a little park. She remembered back to when her and Andy would always go and adventure out in the little park back in Manchester.
She pulled herself up off her bed and locked the flat door behind her. She walked down the stairs and came out into the open. Ava on the climbing mountain spinner. (Idk how to describe it)
Andy came outside and sat next to her."Do you remember when we used to run around the little park back home?" Ava said looking at the little kids who were running about in the grassy area.
"You would always run over to the swim set and would get me to push you" Andy said with a little chuckle.
Ava turned to face Andy and smiled.
"I missed you, you know" he said taking her hands into his.
"I missed you too."
"Those guys, they're my best friends but they don't replace you. You're always gonna be my best friend."
"Andy, I only had Willow when you left. I didn't have my brother! I didn't have you!"
"Wait what do you mean you didn't have your brother. Ava what's happened to Jack?" Andy asked with concern in his eyes.
"He, he didn't wanna be in this world anymore."
Ava choked back a sob.
"He's dead."
-
Ava spent the next day cooped up in her room. She put her phone in her bedside table and sat by the window.
"Ava, come on. You've got to eat something at least!" Willow said walking into the room.
After yesterday, Ava didn't wanna be around anyone. She didn't wanna face Andy after she told him what had happened.
Jack meant a lot to her. He was the only one she could go to and now she has no one.
Andy stayed in the flat. All he wanted to do was see Ava but she wouldn't let him. He knew how much jack meant to her. Heck they all loved him. He was the one who would give the best advice. Then one who would always get them out of trouble.
"Andy man, you've gotta at least do something." Rye said.
Andy looked at his friend and weakly smiled.
"She doesn't want to talk to me. All I want to do is tell her that everything's okay. That I'm never gonna leave her. Jack, he didn't want to leave her but he couldn't stand this place. He couldn't stand living anymore!"
A tear rolled down his face. He wiped it away and sighed.
"Give her a few days."
