Chapter 3

My alarm went off and i automatically hopped outta bed cus i knew today was friday and i couldn't wait till after school so i could go shopping for my new outfit anyways i went in the bathroom took a shower , brushed my teeth and kept my hair curly but put it in a messy bun. I had on a pink shirt that said ' kiss me ' in white letters and some black short shorts with some Jordan's. Today i was driving to school so i was leaving on my own time, anyways i put a white headband on my head and i grabbed my Gucci purse and put on some glossy lip gloss. I was too fresh. Anyways i walked outside , got in the car , put on my seatbelt , crunk up the car and drove off. The whole way there i was jamming to " reloaded " by rich homie quan. Man i loved that song anyways i pulled up in the parking lot of the school , which killed my vibe , and got out the car. Im guessing Jaquan saw me cus he was walking in my direction.

Jaquan: dang shawty you lookin fresh today
Me: duhh! Its friday! Watchu expect?
Jaquan: mhm cant wait till that party tomorrow night
Me: me neither
Jaquan: got a lil surprise for ya too
Me: oh lawd what is it?
Jaquan: gotta wait till tomorrow night fa it
Me: whatever, you gone walk me to class?
Jaquan: i guess, c'mon
Me and Jaquan start walkin to class but we walkin all slow cus we dont care bout class frfr anyways as we was walkin down the hallway we saw Laquita i was hoping she wasnt gonna say nothin but i guess i spoke too soon.
Laquita: so yaull all lovey dovey now?
Jaquan: and if we are? Me n you only friends, nun more than that.
Laquita: man whatever, i know you can do better than her!
I got tired of this hoe and her comments! Like dang! Does everything about me upset you? IS YOU MAD OR NAHH? Anyways she know i gotta come back on everything she bout me so yaull know i had to step in.
Me: i know you aint talkin! You think Jaquan gone get with you? HA! You musta thought honey! Have anybody told you blonde dont look good on dark skin folks?
Laquita: everything look good on me, no need to hate boo boo
Me: TUHH! Who told you that lie! And trust me, there's no need to hate.
Laquita: whatever * walks away *
Jaquan: bruh ion een feel like goin to class today
Me: i dont either but we gone get caught if we keep roamin these halls , let's juss go to class and get this junk over with.
Hours past by and the bell rings for us to go home so i hop in my car and drive home. I walk in the kitchen and see a note on the fridge. It reads: i went on a business trip for the weekend , I'll be back on monday make sure you clean up after yourself and remember no boys over, i left the car with you incase you needed to go somewhere, i left you $4000 dollars in our savings jar incase you need something to eat , new clothes etc. be safe , love mom. My mom may be over protective at times but she cool , i run upstairs and call Jaquan.
Jaquan: sup?
Me: can you come over?
Jaquan: thought yo mama didnt like me
Me: she gone on a business trip for the weekend, come on.
Jaquan: iight shawty, aye i gotta ask you sum when I get over there too, I'll be there in like 5minutes.
5minutes?! I was gonna try to take a shower before he came, oh well guess I'll just do my hair. I go up to the bathroom, get the flat iron, and straighten my hair. By the time i was finished with that i heard a knock on my door. I knew it was Jaquan so i galloped to the door and opened it.
Me: come in
Jaquan: this a nice place, i need to chill here for the weekend fr doe
Me: lol boy you crazy
Jaquan: trippen, anyways i needed to ask you sum.
Me: wassup?
Jaquan: you wanna be my girl? I mean we been actin like we go together so might as well gone head and ask you.
Me: bout time you asked me! Yess!
Lawd knows I've liked this boy for the longest! And i knew he liked me too! Cus he been walkin with me , smilin at me , givin me them ' looks ' . Im just so happy! I just hope Laquita dont try to get in between us cus i will slap a hoe , anyways i still gotta go shopping for my outfit, gosh i really dont feel like it i might just get something from my closet. Sadly Jaquan had to leave cus he had to help his friend Davonte get ready for the party, speaking of party i never asked could i invite someone! Well since Jaquan invited me i guess it wont make a difference if i invited my friend Angelina. Lemme text this child before i be done forgot.

[LinaSwaqq] : nah im goin out to eat with ma boyfriend, he just made it to town. Maybe next time ?
I didnt text her back cus i was too mad, we dont even hang out nomore fr i mean if you gone be my best friend play your part! She only talks to me when we in school but when its the weekend she's always busy, but you know its whatever! I have my mom and my boyfriend, thats all i need. Whenever she decide to make time for me, thats when we can talk but until then we strangers.
Jaquan: whats wrong with you bae?
Me: nothing, its just.... Angelina trippen! I asked her did she wanna go to the party tonight and she was like nah cause her boyfriend made it to town. I just feel like she isnt my best friend anymore.
Jaquan: well if she not making time for you then dont make time for her.
Me: you so right! Cause if it was the other way around she'd be he getting mad at me.
Jaquan: enough about that girl cause it seems like she already ruining yo day, and i aint havin that.
