Bound together

Broken?

   Time for a new day at school. I mean honestly who wants to gl it's Friday and there's a party at my friends house. The one issue was my timer.

   It was saying just 2 hours 18 minutes. I was worried what would she be like. Well I guess it's time to head to school and find out the hard way. "Bye mom I'm headed to school I'll see you when I get home." I say as I walk out the door to my car. Sure it was a piece of junk but it ran and got me where I needed to go faster than walking.

   After a 30 minute drive most of witch was me being caught in traffic. When I finally pull up I see my friends and I head over to them. They are all whispering about something a caught a few words. Timer, new girl and Damien. It confused me that they where whispering about me. I shake it off and talk to Peter about the party tonight."Still on at my place for anyone who wants to come and dads out of town this weekend so it's gonna be fun." His dad's the mayor and he has a mansion on the outskirts of town.

DING DING DING

"Uggggghhhhhhh who wants to go to classssss." But alas I decide to go and show up fashionably late to English. I walk to the back of the room and I sit in my desk and pull my phone out. "Damien what do you think the author is saying about the knight on pages one and two." Of course she calls on me even though I have already read this book. "I think it symbolizes the importance of him back in the 1800 because without him there would be no peace and control." That seemed to surprise her that I had an answer.

------------Time skip to end of first period-------

   I look down at my timer and I see 57 minutes and I freak out. That means I will meet her next period naturally it's gonna be in math my best subject. But for now I have Geography sand we're doing presentations in class and I don't even have mine ready so I just choose to skip today. I'm gonna go get food I decided so I start heading out to my car. "Son arnt you supposed to be in class?" What should I tell him. "No sir I have a free period and I'm gonna go get some food." I can tell he isn't buying it. "Okay well hurry back we can't have you missing class to go get food." I hurry to my car and drive off as fast as I can.

   I get to the little grocery store near my school and I get a monster to drink and I'm looking around in the snack isles. "Mike and Ike's go good with monster." I hear behind me and I jump up and head but her. "You scared me sorry about that. Are you okay did I hit you to hard?" I ask worried. "Yes I'm fine and that wasn't even hard wimp." She says smiling at me. "Ouch that hurts my pride so much. You know what I'm gonna try this out." I say as I pick up the mike and Ike's. "Thanks for the idea. Maybe I'll cya around." I look at the time and see I only have 5 minutes before class ends so I hurry to school and put my food in my bag.

   I'm the first in class and I was nervously looking at my timer the entire time. 60 seconds. This is going to be the longest minute of my life.

She isn't here.
Is it broken I haven't met anyone.
They tell us to trust in the timers.
I can feel the pang in my chest.
The water in my eyes.

Should I end chapter one there?

No I haven't done a story in a while so I'll continue.

"Sorry I'm late I was having locker trouble" a voice says to the teacher. I snap my head up and I see a girl I don't recognize. It hits me it must be her. "Your fine you must be the new girl now let's see where we can set you up. Hmmmm. How about next to Damien in the back corner." I freak out mentally she's coming over here what do I do. "You must be Damien." She says holding her hand out for me to shake it.

   I slowly reach out to shake it and she laughs. " I don't bite silly don't worry." I look down at my timer again and if still says zero. I wonder why hasn't she said anything. "So what's your timer at?" I ask her wondering. She looks down at it then at me again. "4 months and 28 days. "
I feel something break am I going to be an outcast without a soulmate.

I stand up and I run out of the classroom. And I keep running. I run all the way the the nurses.    "Is this normal?" I ask worked "Is mine broken?" I ask the nurse when she walks in. She looks at me. "Let me see your timer." I hand it to her and she puts it in a machine that clicks and whirs until it pushes it back out. I reach for it to look at it. "Not here. Wait till your home or somewhere safe." I was confused and now curios but I have class to get back to. I walk back and put my timer away to where I won't see it.

   When I walk back into the classroom the teacher doesn't say anything and continues with here lesson so I go sit down and I copy what I can. "Are you okay why did you run out?" How do I respond. I don't want her to know so let's play it off. "I needed to go to the nurses and yea I'm fine. What's your name I never caught it." I ask light heartedly "Lilly is my name and your is Damien the teacher said that."

DING DING DING

Class is out one more period before lunch hell yeasssss and it's also a study hall. I go to the library and sleep as usual but today something new happened. "Wake up Damien." I hear them I get hit with a book and I jump up. "Owww who did that." I turn around and see Lilly. "Oh hey Lilly why did you wake me up?" I say aggravated she looks at me and laughs at my face. "I need help with the math and the teacher said you where great at math." Damnit why did I get thrown under the bus. "Okkkkaaaayyyy what parts do you need help with." I laugh at the cute look on her face as she try's to get it. "All of it I hate math." She says angrily. "That won't help so how about taking it slow, part by part." By the end of the period she gets it more. "Call me later to help me more." Hmmmmm. "I mean I don't have your number and there's a party at my friends tonight wana come?" The look on her face said she was surprised. "Well yea I'll come and maybe you can get my number later." She says as she wink at me and walks away.
