3. HIS Unlucky Day

It's been two days since Nandini's escape plan failed and pushed her into starvation.

Manik went to the court with full of hope that he can get his friend Abhi out from jail.

At court,

Judge- Where is THE WITNESS??

Prosecutor - Sir..she might be on the way..

Defence(Manik) - Mr.Prosecutor...So that means...we have to wait till ur so called WITNESS arrives...?? I'm so sure that court won't have so much time to drag the case, atleast not after having proper evidence.

Judge- we'll wait for another 5 minutes..

The prosecutor signaled his assistant and he immediately started calling HER.

Manik smirked seeing them and smiled seeing Abhi who was standing in the culprit zone like a lifeless soul.

Judge - Prosecutor...can we proceed..??

He hung his head and said "I'm sorry your honour...I don't have proof and I'm sure my WITNESS got stuck somewhere...I request u to provide some time to get back the proofs.."

Defence - Your honour, I don't think that prosecutor can arrange evidences in this lifetime..That's why he kept on dragging the case which is making my client to rot in that jail...

Pro - But your honour, NANDINI herself came to the court room to give her WITNESS and if she is unavailable now, we need to check for her and wait till she gets the evidence...

Defence- But that doesn't mean my client should be under custody till then...without proper evidences...

Judge got fed up with the arguement and announced his judgement which made everyone shock and Manik was beyond shock hearing it.

"I didn't kill MUKTI...Manik plz do something..." Abhi kept on pleading with low tone while the officers took him to the jail again.

After 2 hours...At Manik's house...

Manik came back home after an unlucky day with lots of questions wandering in his mind.

Kamala aunty came with a glass of water and sat beside him.

"What happened beta...??" She asked seeing him stressed.

"The case is ADJOURNED SINE DIE" He said slowly.

"Means...??" She asked as she can't understand the law terms.

" Sometimes, a case is adjourned sine die, which means it has been adjourned without another date being set. In this case, the parties will have to schedule another date themselves if they wish the case to continue. " He explained leaning his head back, eyes closed.

"But...what about Nandini..??" She asked.

"I donno aunty...I thought we can get a hearing today and then we can let her free...but this is unexpected....I donno what to do..." He said helplessly.

"So..that means we should keep her till they fix another date for hearing...!!! She was starving since 2 days beta..." She said.

" I don't care aunty...all I care is about ABHI...He has to rot some more time in that bloody jail..." He shouted being frustrated.

But I donno what's with this story...I started with so much expectations but I'm not satisfied...U guys can trust me with the story...

Anyways I need some time....

This story will be on hold till the time I feel comfortable...
