— i'll be there by 11AM jsyk
God knows how nervous Mark was after receiving that message from Donghyuck. He got nervous every time he received any message from him, but god, in that moment he was nothing else that a nervous wreck. He always thought thousand times if the message he wrote sounded alright, before he actually sent it and afterwards always regretted doing it. But now, it wasn't about rewriting a message and eventually completely deleting it; it was about meeting in real world, face to face, when there was no time for bad moves, no reverse button, no second chance. It was for real. And he was stressed, but excited too. He is up to meet Donghyuck for real, isn't he? And fuck, why has it to be now? When he just made a fool out of himself? How will he look at Donghyuck, when that boy knows already even the darkest secrets from his life? Well, he's screwed, that's for sure. He just hoped, that the meeting won't be awkward and that Donghyuck won't slap him or something..
As he thought about the boy, and all their messages and time they knew each other, a shy smile crept on his lips. It was 9AM, what meant that he had one hour left before his grandma would come and take him down to the cafeteria. In other words; he had too little time to mentally prepare himself for that meeting.
— Shit, I don't even have any good looking clothes.. Maybe it's time for shopping, Mark. — He told himself, or more like complained, as he looked through his wardrobe. — Why am I even behaving this way, huh? I'm not going on a date or something, it's just meeting with Donghyuck..
Inside, he knew that it wasn't "just meeting with Donghyuck", it meant to him much more, but he still tried to deny it. Yeah, Mark knew how cheesy he became. He even smiled so much his cheeks hurt as he thought about Donghyuck. But what could he have done? He got addicted to a boy he met online and there was no turning back. Actually it was, but he was too deep into that addiction of his so all the exits were unavailable for god know how long. Could You say that he felt in love? Was it already that serious? Guess the answer is yes, no need to deny it. Not to himself at least, because no way he would tell all this cheesy and cringey things to Donghyuck.
— Minhyung honey, are you coming down soon or will you let your granny just hang here until I die? — A soft old voice have been heard from downstairs, what startled him a little. He didn't like it when his grandmother called him by his korean name; he was born and raised in Canada so of course he liked being just Mark. But the old lady always called him Minhyung, as she didn't want his Korean roots to be forgotten. He had nothing else to do, that respect his grandmother, because all he had left was her.
— Yes, I'm going to be there in a minute! — He chuckled as he gave an answer and began to pick his stuff to soon head down to the Café.
As Mark knew, Donghyuck could come any time (he told himself that he will arrive at 11 for sure, but hey, we're talking about Donghyuck here, aren't we?); because it was Sunday and well, if he told his friends about his meeting with Mark, they surely would want to come with him as soon as possible.
— Stop, Mark. — He told himself all of sudden, as he came forward the first tables and was about to begin cleaning them. — Now there is NO time for thinking about that boy, you have a job to do. — He finished the sentence with a deep breath and started cleaning the wooden table.
Well, his grandma probably wouldn't be happy if she saw him now, 15 minutes passed since he began cleaning that tables, it also passed 15 minutes since he rubbed the same spot over and over again. He just couldn't concentrate, because whatever he did, whichever move he made; everything lead his mind to Donghyuck. Mark swore underneath his breath, tossed the towel on table and went to the backstage of Café.
— Oh, Grandma, I didn't know You were here.. — A little startled, Mark smiled as he met his Grandmother in the door-frame. She looked at him intensely, but just as he expected to see a lot of anger in her stare, what he saw was a lot of worry, and no sign of any other emotions.
— Minmin, tell me, is everything alright with You? It's only morning, but You look very blue. — She asked with a softness in her voice. The loveliness that came out with every word she spoke out always made Mark feel relaxed, but it didn't work this time.
— First, You know that I love You Grandma, but please, stop calling me "Minmin". I hate it more than hearing the "Minhyung" coming out of you mouth. Eek.. — He pretended to shiver like a rabbit and wrinkled his nose, thereafter, he giggled as his grandma sighed and slapped him on the top of his head. — But I'm okay, don't worry. I'm just little nervous, because I'm about to meet a friend I met online for some months ago.. — Mark added, after he gave his grandmother a little peck on her cheek.
— Don't worry baby, I'm sure he won't be disappointed after seeing You. Just be yourself and it will be enough, trust Your Grandma. — Grandma winked and suddenly disappeared from the backstage. The movement of her was strange, for Mark of course. Maybe he should spend more time with her? She surprised him every day with something new he didn't know about her.
The time flew fast and before Mark could tell, the clock already turned its hands to 11AM. And Donghyuck still hasn't showed up.
