— sorry
— i'm just sick and too tired to text

The message that Donghyuck got from Mark made him shiver, a lot. Mark never told him when he was sick, not even when he didn't feel well; only sometimes, when it was a bigger problem, and he couldn't hold it to himself. But never when he was sick. Donghyuck was now even more worried, than what he was one hour ago. He rather likes it when Mark doesn't text him at all, than when that brat make him this worried just by sending some words. And what were he supposed to do now? He can't just sit here and wait until he texts him again. He felt that it was serious and that it was somehow because of him that Mark didn't felt well.. There was no one beside him who could make him feel better right now, since the latter's grandma was at hospital. That only meant that Donghyuck was the only one who Mark could rely on, yet two days ago they fought because of a misunderstanding. He felt disgusted with himself for being such person.

— Fuck, Donghyuck. Be a man for once, for fuck's sake. — He hissed at himself and stood up from his bed to prepare himself for leaving. — He needs you and you know that, so what is holding you from not going? Isn't he important to you or something? — He talked to his reflection in mirror as he looked after some nice clothes.

Just then, his brain reminded him, that he has never been at Mark's place. Well, he came a lot of times to the café, but it wasn't the same. The café was something public, meanwhile his house were more private. He would be surrounded by things owned by Mark, by his existence. Donghyuck shivered as those thoughts came up on his mind, he even slapped himself for thinking this way.

— You are the worst idiot I know. Yes, you in the mirror. Or, well, the second. Right after Jaemin. — He ran his hand through those lively hair strings, that especially today didn't listen to him and lived their own life. Usually, he doesn't pay that much attention to his looks, but, you know. It was necessary today, even if Mark probably wouldn't pay attention to him as much as he wished the boy would do.

— Why does my brain not has any on-off button, so I would shut those fucking thoughts down? — He growled and left his room. He really had enough of how Mark affected him and how he behaved every time he had any interaction with the latter. But was there anything he could do right now?

After he left his room, he went straight to the kitchen and hoped for his mom to be there. When he saw a slim woman dancing around in front of kitchen cabinets, a smile automatically formed on his face, brightening it up.

— Hey moom~ — He spoke up with his melodic voice, that was too precious for this world, and which everyone secretly adored. As Mrs. Lee heard her son's voice, she turned around and smiled when she saw him in the door frame.

— What is this for handsome man my eyes are seeing? — She sighed happily, as she couldn't take her eyes of Donghyuck. — And where are you going looking this well? Is there a girl mom doesn't know about? — She approached her son and took his face into her hands, like moms always does to their little babies.

— Mom, it hurts.. — Donghyuck complained and scratched his nose. When his mom finally had enough of adoring him and let him go, he took a deep breath and smiled at her. — No mom, there's no girl, I promise. I'm going to a friend of mine, since he's sick.. — Donghyuck stuttered a little, because well, it was true that he had no girl in his life, but he wasn't telling the whole truth either. But hey, he came pretty far, at least his mom knows about the dear friend of his. Kind of.. — Aand I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, you would want to help me cook something for him? — He smiled shyly, not really believing that he was doing, what he was.

— Oh, poor him.. Of course, I can help you! How happy will he be after receiving a home-made meal! — There was no way that Mrs. Lee would has said no, she loved cooking and loved it even more when people ate and appreciated her food.

Donghyuck just nodded thankfully, like a good son, and waited for his mom to prepare some stuff. He loved how his mother shined happily whenever she cooked, and he knew that whenever he cooked with her, she was the happiest mother on earth. One hour passed like ten minutes, but before Donghyuck could say, they prepared a really pretty and delicious meal box, full with vegetables, fried meat and soup.

— Take this and make sure he will feel better, okay? And don't forget to tell me if he liked it or not!

— Yes mom, I know how to take care of sick people.. Remember that it was me who took the most care of your daughter also known as my sister, when she was constantly sick. — He giggled at his mother, as she crossed her arms over chest.

— Oh go already! You don't want your friend to die, do you? — She hissed and pushed the giggling Donghyuck out of the kitchen. — Oh, and tell him that I'm saying hi!

— Thanks mom, I love You. — He approached his mother for the last time, gave a little peck on her waiting cheek, and left the house.

When Donghyuck left his house and started walking towards his destination place, he automatically began to consider if what he was doing was right. What if Mark didn't want his help in the first place? What if his visit will only make the boy angry and feel worse? He just couldn't stop thinking about the worst scenarios, even if he knew, they would probably never take place. But hey, who wouldn't be insecure and anxious if they had to go to his crush's house, for the very first time? He didn't even know if Mark was still angry at him, he knew nothing, yet he didn't stop walking, he just couldn't do it.

From Donghyuck's place to Mark's, the trip took about 20 minutes by bus, or about 40 if you took a walk, just like Donghyuck choose to do. Okay, but the truth was that the further he went, the more he wanted to run back home. Just then, his heart skipped a beat, when his phone began to ring. He sighed and hissed angrily as he saw the caller's ID.
