— Hello? Renjun, gosh, are you sane? You scared the hell out of me!— Donghyuck sighed nervously as he immediately picked up the incoming call. — But, ugh, thanks for calling. Whenever I'm feeling like dying, you always call, just like you are reading my thoughts..

— Woah, it's so rare that you are actually this nice to me.. But well, I somehow felt that maybe I should call you, so here I am. Is everything alright? — Renjun asked slowly with this usual softness in his voice.

— I'm an idiot. — The latter answered, as he continued to walk towards the destination.

— That's nothing new..

— Thanks, that helps a lot. — Donghyuck groaned, rolling his eyes. — No but.. Mark is sick and I decided to go check on him, but the closer I'm getting to his house, the more scared I feel and I literally want to throw up..

— Naw, that's so sweet of you.. Caring about your favorite boy! — Renjun giggled, but it was Renjun; he would tease you in one second, but in next he would start giving you world's best advice, like he was some psychologist. And so did he this time either. — Seriously,
I don't remember when you last cared about someone so much to go to its house, when they felt sick.. But oh my god, don't you dare to turn away now! You came so far, it would be shame if you just went back home.. What if he is waiting for you? And you're a friend of his, of course he'll appreciate what you are doing for him!

— Okay, but leave the jokes for Jaemin, huh.. No way I'll go back.. Mom would have killed me, since she knows that I went to a sick friend.. — He sighed, and god thanks it was Renjun he was talking with, because if it was Jaemin, the boy would start screaming and overreact, with everything. — I'll just continue to go and hope for a car to hit me. — He chuckled, trying to cover up his nervousness. — I'm hanging up. — He added, and did as he told.

— I hope you're right Renjun.. — Donghyuck said to himself, as he stood in front of the Café, seconds before he'd reach his destination.

How lucky he was to know, that Mark's Grandma always kept an extra key to the front door, under a rock beside the postbox; don't get him wrong, it was Mark who told him once. And well, he really got all the luck today since the key was there. A minute after, he stood in front of the front doors, his stomach cramping every two seconds and whole body shaking like a scared rabbit. He gathered all the courage he had left, and as he opened the lock, he went into a totally silent apartment. He wondered if it's always so quiet here, even when both Mark and his Grandma were at home. Donghyuck didn't dare to take any deeper breath that would be loud enough for anyone to hear, he just slowly took of his shoes and jacket, and with his lunchbox in both hands started to walk toward kitchen.

— Mark..? Are you here? — He asked, with his voice cracking a bit, as he peeked into the kitchen.

"I swear, if he will jump out of nowhere, it will be him who's going to clean the mess", Donghyuck thought and placed the box on the kitchen table.

Then, he looked around admiring how cozy it looked here; it surely felt warm just by looking at the environment. He continued to walk through whole house, looking after Mark.

"What if he's not home and that whole "i'm
sick" was just to avoid me..?".

Who would have guessed that Donghyuck full with confidence and always trying to stay cool and cold, had this warm and fluffy side? He started to worry and really doubt himself, as he checked almost every room, even bathroom, but still hadn't found Mark. Yeah, there was still this one room that he didn't dare to go in yet. Maybe because it had a big "Minhyung" written on them..

"Donghyuck, you really are nothing else but a stupid coward..", he hissed at himself, nervously biting on his lower lip.

Then as he stood in front of that door, he slowly pushed them, surprisingly they were open, and peeked inside. His eyes began to wander around, checking the whole room, when they suddenly stopped at a laying figure. Well, good job Donghyuck, you finally found Mark. And the boy wasn't lying; he lay on his bed, deeply in sleep, but even from far away you could notice how hardly he breathed, how his whole body had no none energy at all. Donghyuck approached him, with a lot of worry written on his face, and Donghyuck felt like he was about to melt because of how cute the latter looked at that moment.

"How old are you for getting you into such state.."

Donghyuck sighed and as he left the room, he rushed to bathroom to pick some towels and bowl with cold-warm water. So far, it was the only thing he could do, since he wasn't at his home, and he could just go around and look in every cabin or shelves for medicine. He came back to Mark as fast as he left him, put the bowl on the floor and gently sat beside Mark, really hoping that he wouldn't wake up.

— Seriously, you can't be left alone. It hasn't passed even a week since your grandma isn't home, yet you managed to get this sick in such short time.. — He spoke very quietly and slowly, as he gently patted every visible part of Mark's body with wet towel. — How much did you work, that you are so tired now, I bet you haven't even eaten.. — He was worried, a lot as he kept looking at sleeping Mark. — You are lucky to have me as your friend.. — He chuckled at his own statement and just then, out of the blue, his heart almost stopped as Mark rolled on the other side, but thank god, he didn't seem like he wanted to wake up.

Donghyuck couldn't stop himself from smiling and just adored Mark's sleeping face, meanwhile his mind began to fill with a thousand different thoughts.

— You should care more about yourself, not only people that surrounds you. — He added and very unsure of his moves, slowly reached his hand out and placed his fingers on Mark's cheek, he then gently moved them, just like you do to little kids when you lullaby them.

Because right now, Mark was nothing else that a little baby, that needed help, but his cry out for help was too quiet for anyone to hear, maybe because he was just too weak, or maybe because he was afraid of calling anyone?

A/N: I hope you won't kill me for what I did in the next part....
