Chapter 1:

What happens when you experience love at first sight, when you are physically and emotionally drawn to someone so much you start to second guess every relationship; comparing it to this feeling that's right in front of you at this very moment. It's like the fourth of July inside your head and time feels as though it doesn't exist. But this incredible feeling doesn't last forever, some guy interrupts your thoughts and you feel like punching him into next week for the sin he's just committed. But doesn't he have the right to, he's not just some guy he is after all your boyfriend of two years.

He stares into your sparkling eyes confused and worried. You look at him just as confused trying to figure out this feeling as it subsides gradually as you sense the man from earlier walking farther and farther away.

"Babe you ok? You spaced out for good five minutes there." Adrian asks slightly laughing.

"Uh... yeah I'm good just you know being me." We both laugh knowing all too well about my space attacks.

See I tend to zone out every day like it's my well-paying job. I actually work part-time at a Starbucks and let's just say my manager and the customers don't appreciate it when I space out.

"So you want to keep shopping or take a break and get something from Auntie Anne's?" I give him that look that's like do you even have to ask. You'd think after five years he'd know better than to ask. Auntie Anne's is my favorite pretzel place at the mall and I love their cinnamon pretzel bites. Ugh their cinnamon sugar outside and warm pretzelly inside complimented by sweet icing dipping sauce...

"You're thinking about those pretzels aren't you" Adrian laughs.

I blush slightly and ask "Um how did you know?"

"Babe you're literally drooling."

I quickly cover my mouth with one hand and reach into the abyss I call my purse in search of a napkin. After what feels like hours I finally find something to wipe the drool of my lips.

I glare at Adrian "hey babe come on you know that was funny" he says trying to hold back the bit of laughter he has left.

I smile at him sweetly "yeah you're right and wouldn't it be just as funny if this, let's say this here napkin covered in drool were to be used to wipe that smile off that pretty little face of yours?"

"Aww you think I'm pretty" is all he says before running inside the closest outlet store with me chasing after him holding the napkin in front of me.

Yeah I know so mature of us twenty-one-year old's to be running around in a store like little kids.

I finally catch up to him as I'm waving this dirty piece of recycled paper in the air like a battle flag. "Bella baby stop you're going to get us kicked out of the mall screaming like that."

I hadn't realized my battle cry was that loud. But apparently, it was and not to a minute later a couple security guards slowly made their way towards us.

"Bella..." a voice whispered in the distance somehow loud enough for me to hear it. But I ignored it focusing on the matter at hand.

Unlucky for one of the security guards we weren't going down without a fight. So, me being well me I impulsively threw whatever I had in my hand at that moment.

Unfortunately for the security guard, my drool covered napkin landed on his face as he slowly unstuck the napkin from his face.

Adrian busted out laughing as he grabbed my hand and made a dash for the mall exit. Leaning against his car out of breath we looked at each other then laughed so hard we had to cling to the car or we'd fall.

We wiped the tears from our eyes and got into his 2013 black Toyota Camry. "That was fucking hilarious Bell" I nodded in agreement laughing a little.

After a thirty-minute drive, we arrive at my apartment. "Netflix and chill Friday night?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows up and down.

Shaking his head slightly and smiling "what are we going to do with you?"

"I don't know maybe buy me lots of strawberry frosted donuts?" I said laughing then leaned in kissing his lips softly before getting out of his car.

"See you later Adi" waving as he drove off.

As I walked into my apartment building and unlocked my door I thought about the man I locked eyes with earlier. It was so weird, this feeling that overwhelmed me made my insides feel like laundry straight out of the dryer but times a million.

I locked my apartment door as I walked in and took my shoes off at the door, gradually making my way to my bedroom. "Uggghhh" I plopped myself snow angel style onto my bed and picked up my Xbox One controller, pressing the Xbox button turning the system on.

After signing into my account, I opened Netflix and continued started watching the next episode of the Vampire Dairies. Damon Salvatore makes me salivate more than Auntie Anne's pretzels.

I binge watched about six episodes then turned off my Xbox and picked up my fruit loop shorts, white t-shirt, and phone then headed for the bathroom.

I unlocked my phone opening my messages app and texted my best friend Emma a detailed text about the mysteriously good looking guy I saw today. His jet-black hair, bright green eyes, and tanned skin. It's like he was straight out of a book. Though I wouldn't know much about those seeing as I reading, unless it was absolutely necessary.

My phone vibrated indicating I had just received a text, Emma and I texted for about fifteen minutes then I hopped in the shower, washed my medium length dark brown hair and got out the shower.

After drying off and doing my nightly routine that consisted of brushing my teeth and washing my face with three different soaps, I got dressed and slipped into bed under the warm plush blankets.

Slowly drifting off to sleep with only one thing on my mind......strawberry frosted donuts and the mysterious guy at the mall.
