"What the hell is a pack house?" I said turning my body to face him.

"You'll see when we get there." He said.

"Ugh fine." I said as I said rubbing my stomach. It was growling louder than his damn car.

I ate the mint I stole off someone's table but I knew that wouldn't satisfy my hunger.

"How much longer Roman?" I said whining like a child.

"Another hour and a half."

Perfect. That means I won't be getting anything to eat any time soon. We drove another 30 minutes until the car started to slow down.

"Why are we slowing down, I thought we had another hour till we got there?" I questioned.

"We do but we just ran out of gas." He said pulling over to the edge of the dirt road and put the car in park. His hands were now sliding down his face in frustration.

I stared at him in disbelief for a moment trying my best not to wrap my hands around his thick neck and strangle him.

"You seriously didn't check to see how much gas we had before driving half way across the country!" I said dramatically.

I admit is was over exaggerating a bit but a 3-hour drive is pretty long.

"No I didn't check how much gas was in my car. It's not like we had time to stop by Wawa. We were being chased by rogues woman!" he said raising his voice.

"Rogues? May I ask what the hell those are?!" I yelled back knowing he wouldn't tell me.

He just got out of his car. "Come on we have to walk the rest of the way." He said motioning for me to get out of the car.

"Fine. But I'm gonna be looking for some wild berries and some robin eggs. You know like Fiona did in Shrek" I got out and we started walking through the woods.

"Okay first of all how are you going to find anything, it's dark out. Second of all, stop worrying about your damn stomach. You'll get something to eat soon enough." He said walking ahead.

He Apparently knew some secret short cut so that's what were doing. We continued to walk for about 10 minutes when we heard a twig snap off in the distance. Roman stood in front of me protectively as he scanned the area. About 8 large wolves slowly came out of the shadows and surrounded us. I held on to Roman's bicep as the wolves began to come closer. I've never seen wolves this big before...except in Twilight.

"STAY BACK." Roman yelled halting the wolves for a second but they wouldn't listen.

"We are going to die. Yup this is my final moment. I'm going to die with an empty stomach." I panicked.

"Seriously." He whispered.

"There's a small possibility that you might die and all you can think about is food." He said shaking his head.

Everything started to move in slow motion, one wolf after another pounced toward us. Roman pushed me out of the way before they tackled him to the ground. They snapped their large snouts towards his neck and arms.

"ROMAN!" I yelled tears threating to spill out as I witnessed the sight in front of me.

Roman threw the wolves off him with so much force a couple of them flew up and were knocked against the near by trees. But that seemed to have no effect on them they just kept attacking him. He looked back at me like he was having a separate battle going on in his head.

"I CAN'T." He yelled but to who I have no clue.

Roman was doing his best to fight them off and I sure if it was anyone else they would have been dead a long time ago. A wolf darted towards him from behind.
