J's Dutch class

Welcome!

Hey! It's me! Your teacher!! My original dutch name is Janna, but you can call me anything you'd like.

In these dutch classes you don't have to learn or study anything, just read!

I will explain words to you all and I will try my best to describe the pronunciation! Which means it won't be a hundred percent correct, because I can't let you actually hear what is sounds like in dutch.

In the comments you can ask me if I'd like to talk about a subject or you can ask me for a certain word!

Just remember to raise your finger before speaking!!

Alrighty then! For today's class I will teach you guys how to pronounce my name in dutch!!

In English my name would be Jenna or something like that, but in dutch we pronounce the 'J' as English people pronounce the 'Y'. So you'd pronounce my name as Yanna. The first 'A' sounds like the last 'A'.

Or another example. As I say a lot, the word 'yass!!' Those first two letters are pronounced exactly the same as in my name!
