Chapter 27

After the whole bench thing we started to walk trough the park and may I say that it was very beautiful. The park music was very calm and great for dancing and it seems like Seth totally agrees with me as he took my hand and we started to slow dance. It was very cute and romantic. ,,We are gonna dance like this at the prom all night long''. I nodded and placed my head on his shoulder. This was all I needed.

The week passed very fast. Girls were all getting ready at my house as it is the closest to the school. But I didn't mind. We put on some music and had a fun time. Even Vanessa was there and she was acting very normal. She even praised my dress. I think I like this Vanessa even tough I am still not used to her. We were all dressed up after an hour or so and headed towards the school were our prom dates were waiting for us all in their tuxes. They look all so handsome. My prom date was the handsomest of them all. He gave me a wrist corsage that was the identical color of my dress. I put my finger on my nose and he nodded, gesturing he knows that he got it right. ,,You look stunning''. ,,Thank you and may I say you look very handsome today''. He chuckled and grabbed my hand. Even tough his hands were ice cold for some reason it was still nice to feel his finger touching mine. We entered the school and it was beautifully decorated. The hallways were very colorful and beautiful on the eye. We entered the main place of the prom which was the gym. It didn't smell like old socks and had music beating the walls. The atmosphere was already cheery so we didn't have a problem to fit in. First we went to the photo-both to take some pictures for memories and then went to the dance floor were we spent most of the time. The best thing was that my dress wasn't that much tight so I was moving easily and made the night even more better. Paul and Jenna were in the center and got everyone's attention. There dance moves were all synchronized and they were literally couple goals. I love to see them so happy together, but I guess Seth didn't want to go down without a fight. he grabbed me by the waist and we had a little battle with them. I couldn't stop laughing through the whole ,,fight'' as I was having a blast. After an hour or so. We sat down and drank some punch. I was out of breath, but Seth wasn't.

-What do you do in your free time? Dance?

- Maybe you don't know what I do when I am not around. That reminded me, I asked the Dj to play a slow song to which means you and I will have to give our best and dance with our hearts and soul.

- What are you saying?

- Well if you want to test yourself I also asked him to play a tango like song, because I knew that my girlfriend will want to prove me wrong.

- How did you know?

- I always do!

He put his finger on his nose and took another sip. Tami and her prom date joined us at the table. They were out of breath and Tami took my cup as she was to tired to get her own. ,,Sorry Alex''. I waved with my hand so she wouldn't be worried. ,,I can't believe that our prom is one of the best proms. I honestly thought it was going to be shitty because it would be cliche but it is actually very nice''. I giggled. She was totally breathless, but still managed to say that sentence in one breath. She smiled at me. Our squad joined us including Vanessa and Chad. He winked at me and I raised my eyebrow.

- How is it that we are both at the table and not dancing.

- My legs hurt Chad I have been dancing for like an hour.

The tango song started. Chad pointed at the ceiling.

- Come on Vanessa it's time to show these dorks what real dancing looks like.

I rolled my eyes, took Seth's hand and pulled him onto the dance floor. I repeat it is so good I am wearing a loose dress as tango implies to lift your legs and move your hips often. So when we arrived at the dance floor, my body was very close to his and we moved very gently at first. Then the music started to speed up and so did our steps. We were really good. ,,It's time for the twirls!'' He raised his hand and twirled me around exactly five times just like my signature move. I was so touched that he knew the exact number even tough he saw it just once or twice. I smiled at him and kissed him quickly after the music stopped.
