Chapter 8; You Are The Part Of Me

I look out of my window only to see Lauren sitting on her bed, her head in her hands. Tears slowly falling from her cheeks before she flops backwards onto her bed, so that all I can see is her legs and part of her body.

I feel like shit but I also feel sort of relieved. Why is this so confusing? The very thing that I love is killing me. 

I love her, right?

Yeah...No...Maybe?

I don't know.

I close my eyes for a split second only for several tears to crawl down my cheeks oddly. I hate seeing her hurt. 

I let my eyes bounce around the room before she spins around, her face tear-stained. I see Dani next to her, pointing towards me. Lauren's expression hardens but more tears fall down her face.

I dive down onto my bed, trying to hide but it's pretty obvious that she's seen me. This is so awkward.

5 seconds pass and I shoot back up. I don't like feeling like this. The feeling of your heart sinking. The feeling of it being broken. It feels like a knife is twisting and turning inside my heart. I've only felt this feeling once. When my best friend left me. When she promised she'd never leave and a few months later, she turned her back and walked away. It hurt like hell...But there's nothing I can do to stop it. It's supposed to be good for you...But people can die of a broken heart...

I sprint down stairs almost immediately. Even though it's raining, I sprint to Lauren's house which is right next to mine. I knock on the door three times. I'm not wearing shoes so the water is just bubbling around my feet.

"Fuck, hurry up..." I whisper under my breath and the door immediately swings open. I'm faced with Christina, Katherine and Lisa.

"What do you want?!" Christina hisses, placing her hands on her hips.

"I want too see Lauren." I reply steadily, trying to keep eye-contact with them.

"Like that's ever going to happen!" Lisa replies and I feel my heart shatter even more.

"Please." I whisper and Katherine places her hand just above my chest.

"No way! She's hurt and she's told us you're the problem. We just don't know what you've done. She refuses to tell!" Katherine raises her voice, and that's when I lose it.

I run past three of Lauren's protective, older sisters and race upstairs  to Lauren, Lisa and Dani's room. 

I push open the door fiercely, my eyes filled with tears only to see Lauren crying into Amy's chest while Dani's holding her shoulder comfortingly. 

"Woah! The creeper is here!" I hear Dani exclaim, jumping backwards while Lauren and Amy jolt up.

"Lauren. We need to talk." I tell her. Amy and Dani just raise their eyebrows as if I'm allowing them to stay.

"She doesn't want to talk to you." Amy tells me and I feel a lump form in my throat.

"Okay...I guess I'll just...-" I begin as I turn around but that's when I feel something wrap it's arms around me.

"No, I do want to talk."

"Privately."

"Privately." Lauren repeats and her sisters groan and walk out.

"I love you..." I whisper, pressing my hand upon her cheek.

"It didn't look like it when you kissed Bianca."

"Well that was only to make you jealous."

"It looked like you were having fun."

"No, I was having fun because I knew you were watching. It felt right because I wanted to make you jealous. I know I shouldn't of."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"So like..."

"Yeah."

"Can I just kiss you?" She asks and I smirk before I know it, she's pressing me against the door, her body on-top of mine.

"I missed that." I whisper before biting my lip.

"I missed you."
