Sorry for the short chapters and how slow they go, but hopefully it'll get better from now? - edited.

MARINETTE:

I walked in two seconds before the bell rang.

"I made it!" I whispered-shouted to myself, joining Alya.

Alta laughed at my (successful) attempt to be early. "Girl, what do you do all night?"

I groaned. "Lay awake and have existential crises."

Alya giggled.

Later, when the bell rang for the lunch break, Alya and I decided to head over to my bakery.

"Marinnette, there's Adrien! And he's not with Nino. Girl, this is your chance."

I blushed, even though Adrien's back was towards us as he walked out the school doors.

"Okay, okay!" I squealed and went over to go talk him.

I ran in front of him. "H-hey, Adri—" I began, my usual stuttering self, but immediately stopped when I saw the rather dark bruise on his cheek. Frowning, I completely forgot about him being Adrien. "What happened?"

He gave me a sheepish smile. "I fell down the stairs. Stupid, right?"

"N-no! You could never be stupid!" I shouted out, my face beating up as I repeatedly killed myself in my head, cursing my mind away. Could I embarrass myself anymore?

"Thanks ...? I guess ..." he said.

An awkward silence settled over us. I'm just gonna leave.

Quickly running away, I felt like dying in a hole of shame.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid," I repeated over and over in my hunched state. "Alya," I said as she came over, trying not to laugh. "Out of ten, how bad was I?"

"No offense, girl, but you go way above ten. You have to get a grip," she said, unable to hold in her laughter anymore.

I bitch-faced her as she helped me up and we walked towards my family's bakery.

I am seriously sorry for the short chapters, none of the others are like this, I promise! - edited.
